I'm wondering...IF this whole matter is resolved with Ricky and he's able to play.
I think Saban, although he says he's one of the best player he's coached, he will trade ricky for a second round pick or something. If we have to, If the dolphins have to go through this every year, I think I'd rather trade the guy.

I agree he's great player, good guy, people seem to like him, plays hard but if he's going to take or smoke wierd herbs that cause him to fail the NFL's drug tests let some other team deal with all that.

what's your opinion.

Landale White anyone?

I want: Harrington, Arrington, and Charles Rogers.

I
Would
Want
Ricky!
In a dolphins uniform...sharing time with Ronnie Brown.

Unless we can get a 1st or 2nd pick for him of course.

If...

IF this whole matter is resolved with Ricky and he's able to play.
I think teams will still want him...HE IS NOT T.O.

right on schedule...next will be a "Do you want Arrington?" thread...followed by "Do you want Harrington" thread. :boohoo: :shakeno:

?

What are you the thread police? :tantrum: :shakeno:
Just wanted to get a reponse.

Don't complain, REACT.
What do you think?

I think I'm sick of people who want to trade Ricky.
Saban loves him.
Him and ronnie make us one of if not the best rb tandem in the nfl.
Nobody will give us what he is worth in a trade.
He is very cheap.

WHY TRADE HIM??????

Easy, keep him. He is worth so much more to us then any other team. Also, he is an amazing runningback. Why in the world would we trade him for just a 3rd rounder. We shouldn't even trade him for a first. The guy is worth multiple picks.

THere's no way Saban trades Ricky this year. Even if Ricky is acquitted and allowed to play this year, we're not gonna get what we SHOULD get for him. Based on this, and everything good that Saban has said about RIck, plus Saban KNOWS how good Ricky is, there's no way he trades him THIS YEAR. Now after another year of Ricky being Ricky on the football field, come next offseason, offers for Ricky may start popping up and they'll no doubt be better than whatever offers we'd receive this year with all the hooplah! Next year would be a different story.

no one will give up anything for him

he is our mess, whether he plays or not

everyone involved; Ricky, Dolphins, NFL, Fans would all benefit from him being cleared

Ricky plays for the league minimum. So, IMO it would take a lot for us to deal him. If we can get a 2nd rd pick SEE YA. However, no one will offer a 2nd.

I think it is very likely that Ricky will be traded if he can play. There are several suitors that make some degree of sense:

Denver
Indianapolis
Carolina
Green Bay
Pittsburgh
Detroit

Of those, I think Detroit is a really interesting choice. Player for player trades in the NFL are rare, but they are not impossible. I think something like Ricky for Harrington and a 4th round pick would be pretty fair. The Lions would get a back that would compliment the oft-injured Kevin Jones very well while the Dolphins solve the backup QB problem with a quarterback who could be turned around and traded at a profit next season if he takes to playing in Miami well. Due to the complex issues involving valuing Ricky and Joey, both sides could claim that the trade was made on their terms. That may be important to allow Millen to save face.
