ricky stuck in canada article

I don't mind objectivity, but Coles' articles always imply something negative. This time it's a supposed "strain" between Nick and Wayne over this situation. As a beat writer, you'd think the guy would have something positive to say every now and then. I get enough phin negativity from the Orlando Sentinel.

He's always hating on ricky

Yeah, he's not a Ricky fan. Also, the premise of the article is absurb. As if the Dolphins will let him play in Canada only to hear next year "sorry, boys but he's going to remain an Argonaut".

He admits in the article that the point of the article is, well, far-fetched:
"Still, the notion that Williams would get stuck in Canada is a bit far-fetched."

Cole has good connections with the Dolphins.I think the article is accurate.
Saban went to the carpet for Ricky by asking Wayne H to act in his favor.

Now Ricky has faltered again and now our FO is asked to give Ricky a break so that he can support his family.

The only one who is at risk here are the Dolphins.

Risk he gets injured.
Risk he becomes a FA if the contract is not written correctly
Risk that somehow Ricky will not pay the judgement.

There is a risk in any move a football team makes with personnel. Making RW sit may result in him becoming out of shape and unfocused. By allowing him to play, the phins ensure he will stay in shape and stay focused, thereby outweighing the risk of injury. As for the contract, you really think RW's agent is going to write something up that isn't fool proof? No risk there. As for paying the judgment, the courts have ruled in Miami's favor, and that will not change.

This move also shows class in my opinion, and respect for players. Other players around the league will notice the way Saban has handled Ricky, and take note.

I'm sure Leigh Steinberg will get it done, and Ricky will play this year for Toronto and next year for the Phins.
