I don't have a link, but did see the story in the Daily News. An un-named GM??

Maybe it was a fired GM (RS???)

It was the Jets GM. Complete wishful thinking. :D

RICKY is not geting traded hes going to split carries when he comes back with ronnie maybe by the end of the season even get bulk of the carries

I'm with you on the carries. Honestly the more I look at footage of Ronnie in college the more I wonder if he's not just more than a compliment. I am really noid about Ronnie living up to a #2 billing at RB. With that high of a grade Ronnie has to be a phenom, from day one, not two years from now, but day one. I don’t see it. Ronnie did a lot of dancing in the backfield when holes didn’t show up, something coachable, but at #2 you shouldn’t have to coach him, he should just come in learning a new system, nothing more, nothing less. The odds aren’t stacked in his favor to overwhelmingly win over critics of this pick at years end. Trust Saban, will put the best back on the field, and honestly Ronnie won’t be that. Ricky is going to get the bulk of the carries by year end. I truly think the Dolphins got stuck into drafting Ronnie, with no decision on Ricky imminent, and no trade down partners. Listen I’m not bashing Ronnie, but think about ya’ll.

· A #2 pick.

· Arguably the easiest position to assimilate, from college to pros.

· A veteran RB that even if he were drafted this year, without the baggage, probably would’ve been drafted before Ronnie B.

· A potential holdout.

Ronnie has a lot to prove and a lot of catching up to do. #2 picks don’t share the spotlight, no matter who the veteran is.

unless the unnamed GM was Randy Mueller.......who gives a flying F**k what he thinks.

Seriously, why do all these guys comment on a team they know nothing about. Whatever GM said this is just plain rooting against Ricky.

** The New York Daily News reports Miami RB Ricky Williams will be
allowed to participate in training camp and all 5 exhibition games before
serving his 4-game suspension. The report points out that “Miami's bye
comes in the fourth week, which means Williams can't return until Week
6, giving him just one regular season game before the trading deadline
to show that he can still play.†One GM told the Daily News that Saban
will showcase Williams in the preseason for a possible trade and if no
one bites he will cut him. We’ve always thought that sounded like a
reach. Too many distractions for what, a 3rd round pick at best? And who
would offer it when Seattle gets no takers for the All-Pro (and
drug-free) RB Shaun Alexander?

.........The Hulkster and the millions of Hulkamaniacs worldwide are praying this is true brother...........
