Well many people make it seem like Jamal Lewis had an incredible season ion 2003 which he did. But Nobody seems to talk about Ricky's 2002 campaign.

1. Ricky had more Tds than Lewis (Ricky had 17 total, Jamal had 14)
2. Ricky Just came over from the NFC a different league so the defensive shemes are different.
3. Ricky had more Recieving Yards than Lewis
4. This is the biggest

Ricky had 1856 yards while Jamal Lewis had 2066 taht is 210 yard difference which would seem like alot except for the fact that Jamal's O-line is one of the best in football while miami had and still has a horrid line

So Overall the more TDs, Recieving Yards and vitrually no help from the line makes me believe Ricky had a better season in 2002 than Jamal did in 2003

No argument here. If Ricky had been running behind a good O LINE, there is no telling how many yards he would have had. As it was, he was running behind a very mediocre line. But of course, this is all mere speculation. I do agree with you though.

Your second point makes a lot of sense, considering that AFC teams and NFC teams don't have to prepare a game plan for each other b/c they meet only in the Superbowl.

Jamal had a better season and career than Wicky. You're playing a what if game that cannot be proven one way or the other.

a vast majority of people dont give the oline much credit. most think a 2100 yard rb is better than a 1800 yard rb. i would say the 2100 yard RB had a better season. unless the 1700 yard RB had 80 cetches and/or 10 more TDs.

didnt lewis also break the single game rushing record. that also helped get the fans attention.

He didnt say what if. He was making a valid point. RW had a MVP year and it was overshadowed by another MVP performance. He just said in his opinion RW had a better season...

You are correct and it was against the Browns. His division was questionable as well that year compared to the AFC Beast....

It's all about the 2000 yards. If rivky eould have gotten 1,982 yards 892 receiving and + 19 TDs it wouldn't matter. Cause it all matters is the milestones. Now if you get 20+ TD's and 1000 yards receiving etc. Then you make more noise.

He ran for 500 yds on that one team...295 in game 1 and 205 in game 2

our Line was not horrid that year. we ran blocked very well that year. so you cant say they were bad.

And I said I thought Jamal had a better season. He gave his reasons why he thought Ricky had a better one. IMO he is playing a what if game.

Sheesh.

this is true, its like the NBA with the triple double...

one player can have 34 pts 9 assists and 8 rebounds, but the guy with 12 pts 11 boards and 10 assists will get all the pub because of the triple double...

its just that milestone marker of 2000 yards, thats what gets the attention...
