The Dolphins news are starting to look like an afternoon TV lineup, one soap opera after then next. If you thought that after trading/cutting C-Pep that will be over, try again. According to ESPN.com Ricky Williams is expected to apply for reinstatement to the NFL in September (it's on Insider but rotoworld also has it).

I believe Ricky won't play another down for the Phins, but just imagine all the media attention once the process begins, it can be distracting just as the season starts. Thus, I think Cam and Randy could avoid all that by cutting him.

jeez louise,i wish he would just dissapear

I am bettin they(CAmMul) won't say a word about it until(if) he's reinstated then we will just see that he has been traded to the Rams for a fourth round pick

why does he bother? he has made it clear he does not want to play proball. ild love to see him out there living up to his potential but he dosnt want to be on the field
he likes the money but he dont like the job
ricky open up a head shop you will be happier selling bongs

bro i love ricky...i think he's one of the best backs to ever play the game. i don't care how crazy the dudes world is. he is one hell of a player and i would keep him on this team if possible. to some he's a head case but the second he plays those same people cheering for him. ricky flat out gets yards and tds and to me thats important no matter what. so what if he only plays a few games or even one game that one game/s could be the difference between a playoff spot or going home for the winter.

The worst thing as a team is having a guy you can't count on. Ricky has proven his team can't count on him, I hope he never plays for us again. I don't care what he does on the field.

4th round pick, we'll be lucky to get a 6th...besides, I heard the Rams contract would be incentives like, 500 yds ='s 1 oz. / 5 td's scored ='s a hooka for him and his friends...

Ricky is Fredo Corlione...he broke my haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaat....:boohoo::tantrum::ninja:

Well it's a good thing you are not the head coach or the gm, because you would cause this team to pay a player is never on the field, and causes a media circus and distraction all season. I agree, he is valuable when he is ON THE FEILD but the problem is HE IS NEVER ON THE FEILD. release him, save money, and a lot of distraction. :tantrum:

If you were an employer, and you had a guy that did a good job for you when he actually worked, but the problem is he kept missing days, and wouldn't show up to work, just couldn't rely on him, would you keep him on your payroll and not fire him?

Ricky has never been a problem to the team when he's there in preseason or during the regular season, it's just when he's away from the team (ie offseason) when he creates all the problems....

I'd keep him aboard for at least the preseason to see what he's got left since his contract is cheap, and currently there isn't any trade value for him.

I wish nothing but the best for Ricky. I will say that if and when he does play in the NFL again he will be a BEAST for someone.
