Ronnie Brown has never been comfortable as the distinct #1 on his team. At least not since highschool. It will be no different as a Dolphin come week 5. Up until then, the presence of a one time NFL rushing champion will push him harder than that little Cadillac ever could. It is even likely that Ricky will be taking more carries away from him at the midpoint of the season, if that task hasn't already been given in week 5. So Ronnie will not be able to ease back into the seat that a top 5 pick should lay comfortably in. He'll still have to work with that ever present 'challenger'.

Isn't that what made him so good in College? Didn't that competition with another superb talent push him harder?

Ricky Williams brings a completely different style of running than Ronnie is acustomed to in his challenger and he's a better runner than Cadillac is. At least at this stage in their careers.

So Ronnie will compete everyday in practice, not against Lamar Gordon or KJ Harris, or even Sammy Morris for that matter, but against Ricky Williams. Ronnie will be taking things from Ricky, even further progressing his game. Ricky may even be able to take a few things from Ronnie. He wasn't drafted 2nd overall for noting.

We may very well be looking at two improved running backs next year.
