We all know Ricky had a fumbling problem in NO. Now in the CFL they use a bigger ball than in the NFL. Which makes me think he might have a hard time hanging onto the ball up here in the North

Also hope he comes here so I can try to get his Autograph on my #34 Jersy

I'm sure you are right and that Ricky will be one of the worst RBs in CFL history....

Wait...I nearly forgot. Isn't a NCAA football the same size as a CFL football? The same size football that Ricky carried to win the Heisman?

:lol::wink:

That could be a good sign, if he plays with the bigger ball, when he comes back here, he could feel more secure about carrying the ball...

I'm just ribbing you, bro. It is a much different game but the size of the ball is similar to what he used in NCAA. The problem is that, before he became a vegetarian and lost all that weight, his biceps were HUGE and that is probably what caused a good portion of the fumbles...

I don't think it will be a problem. Ricky is going to dominate the CFL.

well judging by what he did in Buffalo, Eskimo land should be no problem for Ricky. Anyway, I've said this a million times, if Ricky comes to CFL, I'll watch my first game, I'll probably spring the $200 bucks for season tickets :evil:

Strangely enough, I actually measured the old CFL J5V (made by Spalding at that time) and the NFL game ball and they were pretty close in size. Going from memory, the CFL ball was slightly shorter but I recall the other dimensions being darn near the same. In fact, I seem to recall the NFL ball being a little larger in circumference in the middle. I think that the white lines on the CFL ball do allot to make it look larger than it actually is.

Now that both balls are made by Wilson, I'm not sure if there is any difference at all. I recall one interview with Flutie where they asked which ball he preferred throwing and he said it didn't really matter because they were both pretty much the same. Generally speaking, the guys in the NFL are also larger, so that could also make the ball look smaller in comparison to when you see smaller players handling a similar sized ball.

In any event, even if the dimensions are different, I don't think they are different enough as to cause any major issue with carrying the ball.

Ricky should tear it up but the Eskimo's will still take the Grey Cup :)

:lol:

You do know that NFL is much, much harder and tougher then the CFL don't you? Hands down he should be the best RB in the CFL.

me thinks he'll just run around everyone.

The only "hard time" RW will have in Canada is catching his breath from running ragged all over the CFL.JMHO
