I think that MIA will still run the typical Wildcat "run it down your throat" package to attempt to overpower the Pats DL as an attempt to set up the pass...but it sounds as if MIA will throw something in there that will attempt to confuse or throw NE's defense off by maybe packages that will involve Ginn Jr or Pat White as a "in motion" decoy and eventually play action pass out of it.

Williams mentioned needing to adjust the Wildcat because if "you don't change, you go extinct, so we need to save the Wildcat..."

SOunds like wrinkle time. Pat White? Tedd Ginn Jr throwing a pass? Hmm?

The motion man will be a passing threat.

Direct snap to Ricky Williams.
Ronnie running from right to left.

This would open up alot in the package and its an easy change.
But i would worry about ricky fumbles.

Ricky is going to go bugs bunny on the Pats this weekend. He will throw it, catch it, and run it for scores all over the field. :woot:

Pat White will come in and hand it off to Ricky this time instead of Ronnie.

if they throw out of it, i hope its accurate. i'm not comfortable with ronnie, pat white, or ginn throwing the ball.

I would love to see a flea flicker out of it, like they did with penny, except now henne can heave the ball down field.

I said it before, there is a reason we limited ourselves in running the wildcat vs. the Jets this past week.

It was either because:

1. the wildcat has been figured out

2. We knew the Jets would be well prepared for the wildcat this time around

3. or we didn't want the Patriots getting a look at it the previous week and will unleash new wrinkles...

I certainly hope i'm wrong, but Ricky Williams mentions in that article that "if you don't change, you become extinct"....which I assume our coaching staff may have hit a bump in the road with the wildcat and are trying to work around it to save it.

Ted & Ricky @ WR. Ronnie & Thigpen (White is the #3 QB) in the backfield

Ricky goes in motion per usual, Ted drops back as if they are going to throw a bubble screen to him.

Snap to Thigpen, Ronnie runs out to the flat on the side Ricky started from, & go from there.

Something like that might cause Belicheat's head to explode. Ha ha ha ha ha!!!!??

Nice call, i'd like to see that again.Ricky tried it last year when we played the Jets last year in the second game.He couldn't pass it and had to run it.

I'd like to see them line Ginn up there and try it with him.He did play some QB in high school and does have an ok arm, much better then what i've seen from Ricky anyways.

I don't understand why you would be uncomfortable with Ronnie throwing the ball, everyone of his passes has been on target. He can't help it if the receiver (Fasano comes to mind during Saints game) drops the ball when it his hands.

I sort of liked what the Broncos did when they played the Patriots, they lined the QB out wide and then he motioned under center after getting a good view or the field. They seemed to have pretty good results when they lined up this way. Nothing spectacular but it caused some confusion with the Pat's defense.
