"During inside run drills Ricky Williams continued to run hard. He's probably been the most impressive player in the four practices I've seen so far. I suspect he's going to have a really good year this season because he appears fast, and has been beating everyone to the outside corner on the sweeps. But then again, this isn't contract work so maybe it's misleading. However, the fact Williams has an extra gear the other backs don't is clear.

At one point Williams was running past Parcells and the warden stuck his hand out. I couldn't figure out if he was trying to slap the ball away or give Ricky a high-five."

awesome...I hope they let Brown chill out this year...you know...I'd rather have him play low-profile this year, and let his knee get familiar again rather then rush him back and have this short term deal be a longer one,or even career threatening....

let me share something with you all....when or while a player says he's 100%....doesnt mean their "feeling"...if you know what I mean..

he's a 31 yr old broken down rb, he's been out of the league 3 years and is nowhere near the player he was 4-5 years ago. stop being delusional.. and face reality

Yeah except this 31 year old was beating apparently everyone to the outside, which isn't exactly what you would expect from a 31 year old broken down rb. LOL

You must be one of those people who think athletes cant perform once they hit 30. So uninformed.

31 with the body of a 28 year old?
i dont think to many people are expecting mvp numbers from him however a 4 yard avg would be nice. i think he can get 800 yards no prob given the opp:bong2::ricky::smoker::rastanana

ya a body that can't seem to stay on the field for 2 straight seasons..

I agree to a degree.

People are setting themselves up for dissapointment with Ricky.
He could surprise but odds are definitely against it.

In addition I always have to chuckle at the excitement over non contact wonders. I realize Ricky has a proven past but still this isn't full speed or full contact yet. Him turning the corner means zilch right now.

Your body might let you down, but your talent doesn't just go away. How can Ricky be broken down when he hasn't been playing? He should be fresh and ready to go. I believe he will be a strength for us this year.

Yeah and if he body starts to feel the rigors of the NFL he can always get medicated, if you know what I mean.

Seriously I am excited to see Ricky doing so well but until this team plays a real game I will control my excitement. I really hope Ricky plays the way a lot of know he could and help this team out. Last year was a joke with no oline and Cleo at QB. Hopefully with the emphasis on the Oline this offseason and the draft that will make a world of defense for this offense. Looking forward to some football this coming year.

I agree....Damn we were awful last year, it looked like a bad college team. (Cleo was awful, I'm surprised he got picked up again.)

I think Ricky can help us out a bit though, I wouldn't depend on him (or Ronnie). HIlliard and Parmele will get reps.

hes going to kill what? a bong?

He doesnt have the body of a 28 year old he is a 31 year old running back with an injury history of a 37 year old

as far as beating everyone to the outside- remember he is doing it without JT on the line- and when you think about our defensive line from last year- even old man csonka should be able to do it.

I hope he does well-really but the odds are he will play like his age.

if theres a job for josh mccown in this league, then there's definately still room for cleo lemon

Totally agree here. I think we will see a running back situation by committee this season. Not such a bad thing

I still don't trust Ricky but I still like what he can bring if.... Ronnie will be slower getting back than some may believe.

I said all along we would draft a running back. We drafted two.

I'm excited about Jalen Parmele. He could be a great sidekick for Ronnie in the future. Could be a real exciting tandem.

I totally agree he is not the player he was 4-5 years ago, but he is not a broken down running back. He played great in 2005 for us, and was able to stay in shape during the 06' season when he played up in the CFL. Really only last year has he been away from football(not really counting his brief stint against the Steelers).

His body hasn't taken a huge toll like those other 30+ year old running backs that have been used to playing 16 games every year.

I don't expect him to play like a Pro Bowler, and I will never fully trust him again, but if he stays out of trouble and gets on the field he will do great things for us. What is great about having two very good(if Ronnie fully recovers he is a great RB) running backs is that if the Dolphins have the lead in the 4th quarter, you will have fresher legs at that position.

I think Miami has greatly covered that position if in case Ricky would fail another test or retire to the Moon by adding Paramele and Hilliard.

Has excellent hands. Very smooth receiver out of the backfield, turns up field quickly. No wasted motion.
