Ricky Williams.......Now.....

Ricky's awesome...perhaps the brightest, most articulate and introspective professional athlete of all time. I liked him even after he bolted on us, although I was totally bummed out. Wanny used him up.
 
Never had a problem with him personally but I really disliked how he bailed on us during that season. Bottom line though, if he needed to do that for his sanity.... I ain't mad at him.

Ricky gave us some swagger during his years with us. I remember him laying out defensive players during prime time feeling proud, man I miss those days and hope we uncork that feeling again soon.
 
Ebozzz- thanks for the post brother. I loved Riclky Williams. I still have a screw Ricky clock in my office, but wish him well.
 
I still love Ricky. I always will. Just watching that video triggered a lot of feelings. Best wishes to Coach Ricky and the University of the Incarnate Word. Interesting to see if he wants to seriously pursue coaching at higher levels.

totally agree...i remember in 2004 how mad i was at him. burned my Ricky jersey as a 20 year old kid because his retirement. everything i learned about him following that, his return to football and his life afterward is so enlightened. i can easily say he is one of my all time favorite players. Marino, Duper/Clayton, Zach, Gadsden, and Ricky are my favorite Dolphins. Run Ricky, Run. i wish i could backhand Wannestedt across the mouth for what he did to this organization.
