This is true. At least I believe it to be. However, he is choosing to live and work and be in a western society, (it doesn't get anymore western than the NFL). He doesn't seem to acknowledge that or give many concessions (at lest not to this reporter). To me he sounds like someone who's attached himself to something he believes in but hasn't quite reconciled how to make the fit in a society that out of step with his way of thinking. It'll be interesting to see how this plays out for him.

Now THAT is a valid concern. It will be interesting.

The point here, at least my POV is he is not genuine. I do not trust him. I do not feel he has found his answer to life or even believes the things he is saying, answering. He is a user, and that is all he will ever be.

I hope this clears things up as far as how I see the Wicky siuation.

You do have a right to be a bit leery, particularly with his past, but I believe you tend to let your feelings cloud your opinions on anything a person you do not agree with says.. Therefore painting them with a broadstroke.. You did the same thing with Mr. Schiavo.. The guy was as innocent as can be, Jeb even conceded, but you still did not feel he deserved an apology for being a heartless, cold wifekiller..

Ricky is a just a different cat.. It appears he has found a new philosophy on life, and its helping him.. Thats all we could ask for, and if it helps him, I dont see why anyone should be upset about it.. Sure, we should be a bit leery, but I dont think you can discount everything he says as a blatant lie..

Bravo!!! He is just a student and is trying to put it into practice. You can be "present" and "not goal oriented" in a Western world. Heck...look at Phil Jackson.

Nah...you are no fool. Not at all my implication. As for trusting him, I can see your point of view because he did choose the weed under stress and that is something he is going to have to be aware of. Yours is a legitimate concern. What I'm saying is that if he is committed to this new practice and lifestyle, it will keep him off the weed.

Totally agree. If he is being genuine then yes I think he may have found the answers he has been looking for. The problem I have is I do not trust him, or believe him. He seems to be a user and will say anything to get what he wants.

Oh Skape, and you tend to trust ppl entirely too much. Live a lil longer don't worry you will see where I am coming from.

I know what Wicky is, I spent 9-years dealing with ppl just like him. People more intelligent and more engaging than him. They will draw you in and burn you every time. He is nothing more than a user, a taker. People like you empower ppl like this.

If you want to minmize what he did more power to you.

Those answers are not genuine answers Doc. They are cookie cutter answers. He has been well coached.

My feelings exactly...seems as tho he is going out of his way to not answer the questions...living for the moment is great, but he does have a future to be concerned with...that future is football, his kids, financial responsibilities, his health, etc (and not in that order of course)...

He is working hard at not giving genuine answers and not building up his or anyone elses expectations...

I kinda feel sorry for him, because one day he'll look back and feel that he has missed a lot of life by focusing on right now...I know little about Far Eastern culture and if he feels this "change" is best for him, fine...but I think he is really just kidding himself...

Seriously ... if he was trying to hoodwink the fans, don't you think his invisible PR coach would have advised him to say things that didn't make him sound like such a weirdo? That would have played better with the average fan.

Things like, "I'm glad Coach Saban had faith in me. My goal is to help the Dolphins win. Football has been very, very good to me." THOSE are cookie cutter answers.

What would I have to be paranoid about when it is concerning Wicky?

Are you going to tell me Wicky said anything in the QnA that answered anything about his past actions?

Honestly why are missing the point of his answers. He is doing what are dooing. You are minimizing his past actions because he is going to wear aqua and orange. I can't do that. He is what he is, someone not to be trusted.
