Ricky Williams Q&A

As i feared, Ricky truly doesn't seem into it man. I have no doubt that WHEN he puts on those pads, he'll act like a professional -- as he did those years under wanny -- but still sounds like a guy who could wake up tomorrow and decide not to put on those pads. Like Willis McGahee's knee, this guy's days are numbered, me thinks

I think that's the BEST thing. Wicky needs to just shut the heck up. He's not doing himself any favors when he speaks.

He just got back man. Hasn't had but about a week and half to prove anything. But I bet you think even in time he won't change, so it's no use in anyone commenting on what you say because you're way too headstrong.

Well specifically I doubt Wicky will be here for long any which way. But no it would not surprise me if he #1 fails a drug test, or he decides the answers to all his questions are in Australia again.

I don't trust him, and this has nothing to do with being head strong. This has everything to do with letting his past actions, the facts guiding someone to a logical conclusion.

Who siad he had to be normal to be trustworthy? I most certainly never did, nor did I even imply it.

He however has to not be a quitter and liar to be trustworthy.

If some of you want to trust him, and minimize his past actions just because he is wearing aqua and orange, more power to you. I won't fall for Wicky's lies again. He has along record of being what he is.

I'm happy he's back because I am all for trying to get as much for the draft picks we gave up to get him. But in no way should he be relied upon as far as long term plans for this franchise.

I never said what he did was right, but he's better man IMO for it. And hopefully a better man in your eyes, but if not nothing I can do about it. Just let the Sundays roll around.

Well what we're saying is that he can change, and yet you let his past make him. He can change dude, it's up to him.

You are making HUGE assumptions again.

Bush has proven, as I have now said THREE times for decades his alcohol issues aew long since resolved. Now let's address the Wicky situation. How many decades have gone by since Wicky proved he was a total idiot?

Hence, your logic is totally flawed. I cannot believe you are still digging that hole.

You never answered my queston.. So the first year that Bush was sober, you would have considered him untrustworthy? When does this metamorphisis of trust occur?

The logic is there, you just refuse to accept it because it does not fit in with your schema..

BTW, what HUGE assumptions am I making?

I have no idea if he is a better person or not. Only time will reveal that. I have my reservations. But I am happy he's here to play for 1 season. Whatever we can get back for the draft picks we gave up I'm 100% for!

There is no question to answer, at least not at this time. Bush has shown his issues are far behind him. Wicky has shown no such thing. Your logic is flawed because of that. It is not complicated Skape!

You are making huge assumptions about the President. And I am hesitant to get this THREAD heading further down that road.

How is there nothing to answer? Its a simple question.. Would you have considered him untrustworthy just a year into his soberness? Why is that difficult to answer? That is the stage Ricky appears to be in, so would you have had the same reservations of GW Bush during that phase? I would think you would have to, or else it would be quite the double standard..

i really liked his answers...

I like them too. I would like to follow some of them, to see if it hold truth. Alot of what he saying makes alot of sense..And I think he's 100% right with his way of thinking especially being in the position hes in. Can you imagine if it was the other around. Him bitching about being 4th of the depth, coah not saying how much hes going to play and so on.

It's always about him smoking pot right?

Actually its' always about him loving Pot more than football. Its' always going to be about his Me-first mentality.

Pot is just always going to be the symbol of it when it comes to Ricky....

You are missing the point. Whether someone would trust someone after a year after is of no consequence when it applies to Bush #43. What is of consequence with the comparison you are trying to make is Bush has shown over almost 2 decades he is a trustworthy person. Can Wicky say he is trustworthy at this point, have decades passed by that no one knows about?

There is no double standard. No matter how many times you try and infer it that is not reality. Wicky has not shown he is trustworthy for almost 2 decades after he had his problems in life. He can turn it around, or he can fall further down the food chain. This could be his life from now on. The guy could end up in jail for all I know. Either out come is as likely as far as I can see when it comes to Wicky Rilliams. He is an enigma.
