Williams said he would like to play this season and in 2010 and then call it a career.

“I want to be one of the guys who can walk away from the game on my own terms,” said Williams, who abruptly retired in May 2004 and missed time because of drug suspensions from 2005 through ’07.

Let's hope Miami extends his deal again so he can finish his career here in Miami. Wouldn't feel right to see Ricky in another uniform in 2010.

I'd be 100% fine with RW finishing his career in Miami. Hopefully in 2010 they go deep into the season

do u guys still fell that ricky still ows us?

Not really. You forgive and forget, Ricky has psychological issues and I can't blame him for what he did.

Just finish your service with us, Ricky, and move on with your life.

Ummmm yeh i kinda do. But maybe i always will now that he's not reliable enough to be a number one RB.(not reliable because of his drug issues not because he isn't capable)
Honestly i could care less if he ends his career with another team. This a different Ricky than we were accustomed to. I feel like Cobbs could have a similar impact as Ricky will.

Good for him. Football has never been what he loves to do, and it's good that he is going to walk away, like he said....Under his own terms. I hope he finds employment that can support all his kids and babymommas after football though.

At least I know now that I am not a minority who feels the same way. But I will give him credit that he has been trying to turn things around.

Ricky is quite a character. I'll sure miss him when he's gone. I guess he'll go back home to GRASS VALLEY, CA when he retires. Classic! Only Ricky could find a place to live actually called "grass valley". :chuckle:

I would like Ricky to finish his career here in Miami, and like Nublar said..it would be strange to see him in another uniform

Go ahead coaching staff and lock him up for 2010.He probably thinks we will be in the SB by then and he could be right..I don't want him to retire with anyone else either.

I dont know how I feel about this.
Im glad he is on the team, If he plays legit this season a one year final contract for him would be nice for 2010. I dont see the front office signing Ronnie and Ricky in one off season even if Rickys is only one year. If we resign Ronnie I think we will get a young back to go with him

I think this is Ricky just fishing for a better deal. I think he knows the Dolphins are his only real option at this point.

Either that or he is making a trade a lot harder. I don't want to trade him, so hopefully we won't. Him saying this publicly would hurt his trade value should the team be thinking that.

I'll say this for Ricky; He's hard to read. It's hard to know what his motivations are or where his head is at from day to day.
