Ricky Williams Trade Bait For Daunte Culpepper??

Say no to Dante...Dante isnt anything without Moss and Carter, look at it like this With TO and Moss ....Gus would be an allstar

But, Daunte would have Chambers to throw to, not like this past year where the best he had was Burleson. Little bit better odds.

I'd rather have Ricky. I really dont want Dante! Like I say in every Dante thread. He average 1 INT a game and 1 Fumble a game. Those are 2 things that I dont care to have every game.

Damn its amazing that teams have overlooked Gus so much the last decade, I mean how could anybody miss that Gus was so much better than Daunte culpepper. With TO, Moss and a brand new jerry Rice Gus would still be Gus a bottom rung QB who has no accuracy. I find it hard to believe if he was so good that 5 teams would have let him slip through thier hands.

No to Dante. He would be killer down here next season with chambers and scott calling the offense. Problem is he sucks without scotty and from all the articles I read about him (Scott), he is using this offseason to boost his head coaching probablility in the next off season. So we get one good year out of Dante and then we are left with a $10 million a year qb that is no better than gus. Umm no thanks.

That's utterly ridiculous.

Dante Culpepper would have this team in a superbowl.

Comparing Gus to Culpepper is like comparing Feidler to Marino.

You know this horrible injured few games he had this year? How bad he was? Yeah, well chew on this... Dante STILL had a higher rating for the year than Ferotte.

And last year he had a legit MVP year. A 110 rating. 110.

We should be so lucky as to get Dante.

I don't worry about Ricky's drug use just members of these forums. Gus and Daunte are equal ouch.

Well he does turn it over, but I'd think if Saban took him it would be because he feels he can instill the discipline to not turn it over. Kind of like Tesataverde under Parcells. In short, I would like it only if Culpepper didn't break the bank, but he might.

Take a look at Daunte's production before his injury. Its easy to throw balls up for grabs, especially when you have Rany Moss to throw said balls up to.

This statement is a bit assanine to me. So what your saying is that Daunte is not good with Chambers and Booker to throw to? So which is it? Is Chambers good or is he still an average reciever. Could you clarify for everyone so we can see your inconsistancies of judgement?

I don't like Dante either, but I trust Saban to know what he is doing.

The only thing that worries me about Daunte is the injury. As far as his playing ability, I would take him, he is still relatively young and he was a star right off the bat. I dont care who he threw to. This is a team game for all of you who seem to forget. Every QB has an off year and Daunte didnt get to finish this one so I think judgements like the ones I am hearing are off base. the scandal was a big part of it. The other thing is that an injury like this one will make him more wise about taking off and running as much. Almost all running QB's pay the price sooner or later. The only one who didnt was Steve Young but he used every option at his disposal before he took off running.

That is why the only thing that concerns me is the injury. Also if Linehan is not here, Im not so sure I want Daunte. They will work well together so.........i think alot of Daunte depends on what happens to Linehan.

Some of you guys just completely amaze me. have you guys really taken a look at his splits from the previous years? I suggest you guys go take a look at his past years stats/splits, I think then some of you will realize how silly your statments about him are, and how accurate he is. And as for having Moss to throw to, in his best year (2004) he had Moss for 13 games and Moss only caught 49 balls for 767 yds. I wounder who caught the other 330 pass completions for 3950yds?

Now as for him coming to the Phins, and MHO. As long as his knee is healing properly, and the medical staff says he will be fine. I would be all infavor of him coming here, and as long as the price is not too steep. IMHO at his age he still will have 5-6 years of being a top QB. And if he has to be paid as a top QB so be it. IMHO he is a championship type qb and very well could bring 2-3 championships to the team. And after all the SB is what these guys play the game for right?
