Ricky Williams up to 215..Ronnie to miss some...

Hell Yaaaaaa!!!!!!

William up to 215lb, a few more pounds and he will be running over every opponent in no time.

i think it sucks that we have to wait on san francisco to get there :p4e: worked out for us to work out are contract with ronnie......oh well, im sure will be fine :whew:

Ronnies contract issue isn't comforting i suppose, but its not scary either. Correct me if im wrong, but it was Larry Fitzgerald last year right? And he ended up playing every game and playing well i believe.

Robert Gallery was last years number 2. BUt nonetheless he didn't miss anything either

dang. shoulda known that. oh well. This honestly was the first year i've ever actually payed attention to the draft.

Ricky was playing at 228 for us during his first year with us and around that same weight the following season. So he's definelty on target to be back at the weight that he played at his best. And I'm sure he's doing a lot of running and conditioning as well. I have a feeling that Ricky not only wants to apologize - he wants to blow people away with how well he plays. People say that, because of being away from the game for a year, he won't be as affective. I say there have been many players who missed entire seasons because they were HURT and came back the next year and were outstanding. RW wasn't hurt. He is fresh and will be in very good shape. I am getting even more excited about having him and Ronnie on this team. Whether you hate Ricky or not, you have to be excited about the prospects of running the ball with those two and wearing out defenses (such as the Bills, Pats, and Jets) and how having those two can really open up the passing game for us. And by the 4th quarter, the other defenses will be wore out from trying to tackle two bruising and explosive runners.

According to the Miami Herald....Ricky Williams has regained much of his lost weight..now weighing in at 215 lbs. Also...Ronnie Brown will likely miss the first bit of training camp because of contract negotiations...mostly because Todd France his agent will wait to see what kind of contract Alex Smith gets from San Fran.

I am not overly concerned, Ronnie will wait to see what Smith gets, it is the nature of signings. Ronnie wont sign for less than what he can get. The Dolphins dont want to set the market where they have set it at a point they set it too high.

lets just hope we utilize having both of them...and that ronnie can hold down the ship for 4 weeks without ricky if our offense is truly going to be focused on that style of play.

Ronnie will be fine and Gordon is a nice compliment.

The first four games shouldn't be a concern as far as Ronnie's durabilty and his abilty to handle a full load. I would say after game eight is where Ronnie may start wearing down (if he does) because the NFL has much better players, harder hitters, faster players, etc. It may take a toll on a guy who isn't used to the amount of carries a typcial NFL back usually has. That's where having RW (and Gordon) will be a big help to him as he develops and becomes increasingly ready to take over the full load. (Maybe next season) But it really is hard to imagine him jumping from splitting time in college to being the main guy in the NFL. He will need some help. And, whether you like Ricky or not, there is noone better out there to help while Ronnie progresses.
