I am confused as to why so many people on here support Ricky Williams being on this team. Of course, everyone is entitled to their opinions, but what has this guy done to earn the right to wear the aqua and orange again? How many lives does this cat have?

I have been a life long Phin fan and season ticket holder, and always will be, but I am extremely disturbed that my beloved franchise continues to want to associate with a guy of Ricky's character.

Because other than his stint with marijuana he's done nothing but work hard. Because Bill Parcells knows talent when he sees it.

Don't worry, when he's carving up defenses this season you'll come around.

Why? Probably because people still have visions of 2002 dancing in their heads. Some people sympathize with his fight against Social Anxiety Disorder. Personally, I've been so back and forth with Ricky I have no idea what to think anymore. Bottom line is, that Ricky is back in Miami. As long as he's willing to work hard, do the right things, and be a productive member of this team, I'm okay with him.

Remember Otis from the Andy Griffin show?
Thats Ricky...lovable and doesn't mean to harm
anybody.

What did Ricky do that was so unforgivable?

In my opinion his drug escapade was a response to a massively irresponsible management that hired an incredibly incompetent coach in the name of Pornstache.

So Ricky smoked ganja. Believe you me he let down a team and a fan base that were destined to marginal mediocrity.

Now he can revive himself and his career - why not as a Dolphin.

And PLEASE - get over yourself in the idea that wearing aqua and orange is sacrosanct.

What was the name of that serial rapist that Jimmy Johnson got as his premier running back - Cecil Collins. Shula gave Hollywood Henderson a second chance.

Many, many guys who are in the NFL would be behind bars if it weren't for their athletic ability and the opportunity it affords them in life. More power to them. But lets not fool ourselves hear the NFL is not a green pasture for saintly figures on there way to doing heaven's work. These are very large, very fast, very athletic men with mean streaks that go out to tear each others heads off every Sunday.

Ricky is actually one of the nice guys.

Dolphin fans need to get over their touchy sensitive egos that got shattered in the delusional, loser world of one David Dumbstadt and get on the reality that you and most certainly I would have quit that half-witted jerk too.

Spare me the team like sanctimonious crap that so many fans post on this site. Ricky quit a doomed team and expedited a downfall, was man enough to get back out here and if he does well enough WE WILL ALL LOVE HIM!

Thank you Ricky for giving EVERYBODY associated with this team a cold hard dose of reality. And I 'll thank you more every time you take the rock to the house baby!

The man is no criminal. Him retiring on us was a horrible thing to do but who really wants to be told how to live their life? I am not saying he is the smartest man in the world for choosing pot over millions of dollars but that was his choice. He has depression problems and the media spotlight was too much for him to handle. The man can play football plain and simple. He has never killed anyone, abused anyone, or broken the law in anyway except smoking pot. Half of America smokes pot.

I'll second that moonman.:hi5: Todays athletes have done alot worse than smoke a little pot (Pac-man, Vick, etc...) Ricky with a complete off-season and support from the BP and a revamped line, I can't wait to see Ricky and Ronnie doing some damage.

In many places, it would be the employers responsibility to rehab a troubled worker. Anyway, big deal, he burned a few. He quit because he was going to be suspended anyway. That part was bad, but perhaps it will be different now. Anyway he can't harm us now with Brown in the mix.

Amen :D

The NFL should let players smoke weed. They take enough prescription meds for pain to keep any pharma sales rep living in a good neighborhood. The only time when the ganj is a performance enhancing drug is if it were competitive eating. Plus, herb helped Ricky be as normal as he can with his social anxiety disorder.

Because there are a few hypocrites on here that will bash JT who has been with us and never been a problem and now Ricky is an angel! Don't waist your time trying to figure out the logic of some people!

I hope Ricky at least gives them all a kiss this time before the next time he screws our team!!

At this point I trust Ricky more than I trust JT... Go figure

That was then this is now.....simple as that. Time heals all wounds. If JT does play for us this year and has a good season....we will all be back behind him. i thin you would be hard pressed to find a positive comment on Ricky in 04. Thats Life!
