This probably want go over well but I really don't care. You never here anything bad on here about Ricky anymore. You guys on here don't want to even trade him away anymore. And it hasn't been that long that no-one except for a very small list of people even wanted him on the team. You guys don't want to trade him for example Carr. A decent not great QB that could help our team and has never quit on anyone. I just don't understand how you can go from hating someone to loving him. He has a drug problem, and a quitter. You never quit on your team. Granted he did well but we got our highst pick in the draft since I think I've been alive and a good back-up in Morris. Why keep him unless everyone is afraid that Brown isn't going to cut it. But I think he will. I just can't figure you guys out. It drives me crazy. He's one drug test away from being gone. Its a bigger gamble keeping him than Carr not being better with talent around please explain to me what I'm missing here. :fire:

i can't speak for everyone, but zach Thomas said he likes Ricky as a teammate and "he can help us win" we all make mistakes and I forgive him.
With his low salary...where is the risk? If ronnie goes down for the season, the season won't be in turmoil

but I respect your opinion.........

Yeah I'm sure there want be many replies to this b/c all you got to do is look at the old posts Where the same people that say They don't want to trade Ricky for Carr are the same people 8 months ago didn't want him on the team at all.

I have always been for Ricky Williams. Even when he quit on us I was still hoping he would come back. I opened him with welcome arms. But the reason a lot of us fans are all for keeping Ricky is because we all saw what happened when Ronnie went down. He helped us come out with 2 wins. If we would've had Sam Morris or Travis Minor things would've been different. RIcky should stay a dolphin wheather he will is not up to us.

The sooner we trade ricky and make ronnie the featured back the better off we are IMO

Yeah what would people be saying next year if we don't trade and then he decides well I believe I'll go live in a tent.

we are better off when we get a real QB and better secondary help.

they both ran for 4.4 yards per carry. seems like either one of them can get the job done.

we still have the 8.6 million judgment against him.

he wont due anything stupid until that is forgiven.

Ricky is too valuable to this team to trade, Ronnie is a great back, but he will get his chance in the next couple of years. As for the drug issue, I think Ricky has learned from his mistake, he is in too much debt to risk the chance of making millions of dollars again!!

So you where still for keeping Ricky when he quit. Well don't take this the wrong way but I don't believe you ever played very many sports b/c on team I played on if someone quit b/c of being selfish or whatever the reason is. I still don't like them to this day. And would rather not win than have him around.

Ricky only got his YPC up near ronnies when he played against a terrible Tennessee run defense and NE backups

How much gas do you think ricky has left in the tank? Truthfully? And will he retire before he runs out of gas?

Even if both guys produce the same there are a number of other factors that should point to ronnie bein the featured back, and not the least of which is age

This is an interesting issue.

Someone should really start a thread about it.

Don't you think he new he was breaching is contract when he quit.

The whole drug thing really isn't an issue. I think Moss said it last year. A lot of players in the league do it , it's just most of them don't get caught. Ricky isn't a bad person for coming out and admitting to it. He's still a great back and will always be.
