we should keep RW for 1 season, let him share carries and then at the end of the season trade him away and if he does good this season he can have more vaule...and if u look at it...he really hasnt really taken that much of a beatin that running backs his age have because of the time hes missed

Ok?

I have no idea how Cameron and Mueller will do in the win-loss column, but I do give him credit for trying bring good character players and weed out those we can't count on. From all appearances, Ginn, Beck, and the Polynesians are good citizens.

I understand the reasons for keeping Ricky (salary, production in 2005, etc.), but I am just tired of waiting for him to self-destruct again. If we can get a 4th or better from St. Louis, I say we make the deal and rid ourselves of the headache.

Why don't we just wait, and see how the team's gona do this season, before we start making a number of perdictions that will effect us next year. Who knows maybe Ronnie and Ricky could work in our best interest for the next couple of years.

Ricky has proven skills. He costs the Phins next to nothing to keep. If anything happens to Ronnie, do you want to have to rely on an unproven rookie? If he messes up again, it was half way expected, he is lost without really having put anything into it. If he actually has come clean, he can prove it and actual be of value to the Phins in either trade or a second high-caliber RB on the team.
I fail to see how keeping him, whether or not he screws up again, can be bad. It's either a draw, or a HUGE benefit.

:bighug: 1 SEASON TO SEE HIS ROLE WILL BE ENOUGH TO JUDGE HIS FUTURE! I DON'T THINK WE SHOULD JUST TRADE HIM AS SOON AS HE COME IN! :shakeno: ITS A RISK WE CAN AFFORD! TOSS HIM A FEW PERKS TO SPEED UP THE PAYMENT HE OWE US, AND WE WILL HAVE SOMETHING TO WORK WITH. :D IF HE PRODUCE WE GET MORE FOR HIM, IF HE DON'T HE WORKS FOR FREE.....LOL WIN/WIN SITUATION:)

How many Ricky threads are you guys gonna start.?. For christs sakes everyday there's a new one.. It's pathetic ..Just read the ones from the past few days to get your answer.

if he does good this season he can have more vaule

If he does good he has more value......to US!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We still need a capable backup to Ronnie Brown who has been in the league 2-years and been hurt and missed games in consecutive seasons.

I'm not saying Brown is injury prone but if he does get nicked up do you want Lorenzo Booker to carry the load?

OK maybe if Booker proves himself this year but we dont know that yet so why ask to Ricky's value if he does good this year.

His value is to us if he's still a top back.

Why trade him away if he does good he's dirt cheap and if he does good he deserves a raise and even with a raise he's valuable TO US!!!!!!

Bottom line is; If Cameron and Mueller see a benefit and a positive effect on the franchise Ricky will be back. However, if they see Ricky as a distraction or a negative effect on the team he will be gone some way or another, whether that is by a trade or release remains to be seen

One thing about Ricky whether it was the Saints, the Dolfins, the weed, the yoga, India, Austrakia, Canada, one thing's been constant: he's been a distraction. I'll be surprised if he's with us.

he wasn't a distraction at all in 2005 under saban.

ricky who?

are you serious? look at all the teams that got far.
Colts-addai and rhodes
Chicago-benson and jones
Patriots- dillon and maroney
Saints- bush and mcalister
Chargers-Tomlinson and turner

now if we had Brown and Williams our offense would be much better. everyone around here is worried about stats that "oh no brown won't have a 1000 yard season". does it matter if our offense does good with two backs? Cam will capitalize on having brown and williams in the same backfield, just watch.

lorenzo booker and brown won't work because booker is a third down back and is in his rookie season.
