I'm sick of everyone saying ricky has too much value to us, yeah hes cheap but thats a reason that another team would want him, hes got so much value and we dont need 2 running backs, people always say we need 2 running backs to have a good running game, look at the seahawks all they need is saun alexander, ronnie is good enough to carry the load for us now

Look at KC with Priest Holmes and Johnson. That's why you have 2 backs. But I see wha

yea...we needed to make it an even million Ricky threads for the week.
BTW someone needs to start the 20 millionth TO thread.

In the original poster's defense, what exactly have the Chiefs done in the few years they have had 2 outstanding backs? Not made the playoffs...that's what. Who was the last Super Bowl Champions that needed 2 outstanding RB's to win it all?

I wanna see what u gonna say when Ronnie gets hurt for like six games im pretty sure Minor can carry the load :sidelol:....thats y kansas city is a good example preist out and the runin game still on point..... remember when ronnie got hurt our runin game was better then ever soon as williams steped in...:tantrum:

KC did not have two good rbs except for the first half of this last season, that is unless you consider Derrick Blaylock good. Two running backs isn't necessary, but it does help. Besides, Seattle and KC have something more important than two running backs, they have great offensive lines. Ricky isn't essential but unless you can get something of value for him, you are better off keeping him.

Yeah you think so? Look at what happened when we had one great back and he left? Do you think it would have been any diff had he gotten hurt instead of "retired"? I agree you dont need 2 probowlers, but you need 2 good backs. Seattle utilized morris often to spell Alexander and ran strong many times in short yardage. It isnt about having 2 backs rush for 1,00 yds, it is having a complimentary back to give Ronnie a rest and keep him fresh and healthy.

I also feel and many I believe agree based on what I interpret from what I have read, that when you evaluate what we have in Ricky and what he gets paid vs what they are projecting we will be offerred. the benefit to keeping him outweighs trading him. If we can get a 2nd rd pick for him, it may be beneficial to do it, but it was reported that the only team that were said at this time to be after him seriously was Denver and they wanted to give up a second day pick. To me, that isnt worth trading Ricky for the value he brings to our team. Me thinks you protest too much.

Bettis and Parker. LOL

Trade and UFA.

Not a compelling argument for keeping Ricky.

Truth is trading Ricky means that KJ HARRIS or some other UFA back MIGHT get a chance to come in here and wow us. But trading Ricky would give us the either the draft picks to add 2 new starters to this team or the ammo we need to trade for a higher draft position and get a QB or to flat out trade for a veteran QB.

Either way, the only mistake you can make on a team with two GREAT RB's and vacancies for 7 starting positions is... Keeping Ricky.

You gotta trade him and round out the team.
