A local homeless man apparently fooled a roomful of reporters and team officials by impersonating Dolphins' running back Ricky Williams during the entire length of a press conference at Dolphins' headquarters Monday afternoon.
The man, wearing clothing he had apparently taken earlier from the team's locker room, answered questions from the press for nearly an hour without anyone catching on, including team personnel standing nearby.
"I did think he smelled really bad, but I thought it was from practice," GM Randy Mueller commented.
The man was arrested by local police afterward as he tried to drive away in Williams' SUV. He remains in custody, pending psychiatric evaluation.
