after watching his highlights i remember how great of a running back ricky is.he is a top 5 back when he was playing and a fan favorite...i have always liked ricky even through his brief retirement ..he is gonna still be a heck of player for us

You can only hope...but if you think about it, muscle, stamina and such can fade away, but instinct doesn't. This is why I think Ricky will still be a great player...how great? We will just have to see :)

He struggled in his last season with us. He is great, but like any RB, without a decent line he becomes just a solid, hard-hitting back.

I really doubt a top 5 status considering he's coming off a one year hiatus.

the front page poll on espn.com is "how many yards will ricky get Sunday" i put 26 to 50, its leading right now i believe

The good news is he looked pretty good in the preseason game against the bucs, in practices (from what Ive heard) and a lot of the players said RW looks good. Zach said it looks like RW didn't sit out last season and was surprised how quickly he has regained his old form. So we shall see how it turns out.

I think it really comes down to how much RW wants it. If he has really bought into it, and is truely committed, he will look like the RW that won the rushing title. Running hard comes down to want to, and thats how he ran his first year with us. In his second year, he was bouncing it outside too much and not looking to run people over. I didnt see that 'want to' he had the previous year. Of course the holes weren't there as much either...

He was the best in 2002 (or maybe Holmes). 2003 he lost interest because we had no line and Wanny was killing him. So he rolled some joints and disappeared. I dont think he can come back top 5, it all depends how bad he wants it and how much playing time he gets.

As long as he is productive and makes big plays, thats all we can ask for. :rawk:

Depends on how much he plays and how many carries he gets. Polls are dumb

He was top 10 but top 5 no...He was consistent enough. He had 2 really good years then he disappeared. Now hes back so it remains to be seen if he can return top 10 cause hes like a whole new ricky.
