I know this isnt something amazing.......but I was very surprised to see this stat, Ricky is averaging the 2nd most YPC of his career. (4.1)

His best obviously being that memorable 1800+ yard performance. (4.8)

But I was suprised to see that this was his 2nd highest in his career, I know he's not playing as much as B4 at all.....and he's only played 8 games this year so thw AVG. could have went higher or lower, but I just thought that was an interesting stat.

LOL sorry for the pointless thread!

He started slow and has been progressing every game. Hes been a great addition(if you want to consider it an addition) as i expected.

Ya I think its because hes not the key part of our gameplan and he is not being overused so his legs stay fresh and he doesn't have as much pressure on him.

A lot of that has to do with him being fresh at the end of games and the constant beating he and ronnie give D's. If we can keep that duo we are really going to wear down a lot of teams in the next couple years and with just above average QB play win a lot of games

Ricky and Ronnie are both above 4 ypc and that means the o-line is doing a good job plus the fact that they're both great backs. We hadn't have that much talent in the backfields since the 70's.

Ozzy rules!!

averages tend to dip a little as carries are increased.

True for most backs BUT:The thing about Ricky, and to a lesser extent Ronnie, you keep feeding him, the more and more likely he is to either break away for a long one or have a string of intermediate gains(8-19 yards).

i think in rickys case, if he had more carries, he would have a better average, maybe not a huge increase, but i would expect him to be at least 4.3-4.5 the way he has been running. his average is a little lower than how hes been playing cuz 2-3 games he's had combined totals ofl like 25 carries for like 40 yards in the games where miami got murdered...kinda throws off his stats since hes had so few of carries to begin with

Now if only we had this depth in QB.

Ricky is better than his past years, imo.

As much as I like to have him back, there is no way... He used to carry the team on his back.. Alone. I know that they are not asking this of him. But honestly I don't think that right now he could... He looks like he is getting better, but he is no way there yet.

He's shown flashes(ATL,OAK) but I agree he isnt back 100% to old form. I just hope we can improve the OL this offseason big time so R&R wont face guys in the backfield on EVERY play.

I agree here. Niether of our backs have had a chance to "get in the groove" yet. Plus, I remember RW coming on strong as games progressed. I would love to see if Ronnie can do the same.

this is the realist **** i've read so far bout ricky, i love him i think he is great but i dont think he could carry the 02.and 03 seasonwithout an injury, he is great but he was getting pounded

His Avg. has been getting better every game. I think he can still be the back he was when he won the title (1800+ yards), but I like the fact that we share the load between R&R, despite me wanting Ronnie to get a lot more carries.
