Dolphins | Williams' decision could come Tuesday; he also could be traded
Mon, 24 Apr 2006 17:36:28 -0700
Adam Schefter, of the <A href="http://www.kffl.com/team/77/nfl">NFL Network, reports Miami Dolphins RB Ricky Williams could find out his football fate for the 2006 season as early as Tuesday, April 25. Should the league reinstate Williams, then the Dolphins could begin fielding offers for their running back and try to trade him before the NFL Draft. There would be interest in Williams and the Denver Broncos could head up that list. The Broncos already were involved in talks with the Dolphins this winter, when word of Williams' potential suspension leaked out.

I'd be glad to hear if he passed :D

but if he was traded....I would be soo sad. No matter what he has done. I still love watching him play. Its just something about him lol, I really believe if he came back he could still tutor and teach ronnie. Beacuse I still do not believe he is a full starter yet. He still makes common mistakes and ronnie could help him...just my 2 cents

Dolphins | Williams' decision could come after Tuesday; he also could remain a Dolphin although
Adam Schefter has been speculating out his butt without naming sources on Mon, 24 Apr 2006 17:36:28 -0700.

if a second round is what there offering id rather keep him. think bout it, with there first round pick they could not gettin a runnin back like ricky williams.

lol, so true

If someone had a 2nd rounder on the table for him, I'd take it and run. We only have 2 picks on the first day guys, 6 total with 3 of them being 7th rounders. This is one of the deepest drafts in recent memory, and I think it would be foolish not to horde all the picks we can while Saban still has an edge over the league when it comes to college scouting.

:yeahthat: exactly if we can't get a first then I say we keep him. He's got more value to us then we could get trading him imo.Providing he wins his appeal.

I disagree. Ricky can play 3 or 4 more years and his value to the team in the run game would be much greater than that of a 2nd round pick.

Its highly unlikely but there is another trade scenario that could considered other than the Denver one.

There is talk that the Texans may pass on Bush .If that the case they would probably draft Mario Williams. They could then trade one of their remaining first day picks for Ricky who would make the Texans fans happy and perhaps help them forget that they passed on Bush.

Don't see why the Broncos would need Williams.

The Broncos will take a chance on any running back of they think he has talent, I mean they even took a chance on Clarett. They love running backs. Ricky would put up numbers like Terell Davis did out there.

I feel that a less talented player than Ricky who played at a need position could improve the team more than having a second great running back would.

I am prepared for the worst but I am hoping for the best. I have an eerie feeling that if we get the chance to trade Ricky and anybody offers a reasonable pick (DEN), that we will pull the trigger in a heartbeat. I hope Ricky wins his appeal and I hope that we keep him, but I just have a bad feeling Denver (a team that spent a 1st day pick on Maurice Clarett would be willing to trade a reasonable draft pick to us for Ricky). I'm not sure how confident the Broncos are in Tatum Bell and Rod Dayne, in addition the loss of Mike Anderson... I could see Denver having some interest in Ricky and have a bad feeling we will trade him for Denver. But all of that will be irrelevant if Ricky loses his appeal, that's the most important thing about Ricky right now, winning his appeal. Hopefully, we will get some good news soon.
