ricky came out with mirrored eye shield the nfl (i think they say) had him take it off????? after the game interview they asked him what why and who asked you to change shields , he said it was along strange story just curiuos anyone know whats up with this eye shield story/change
 
I think I heard something before the game where they said you can't wear a certain type of "eye visor shield" or something unless you have a medical reason for it. That's why I'm pretty sure they made him change it, that's all I remember though. Sorry, I couldn't be more helpful, I'm sure someone will be able to give you a better explanation. But the one he originally had before they made him changed it, looked pretty bad a$$. :cooldude:
 
yeah he looked to cool and remeber his first 2 dolphins years he wore a total mirrored eye shield so he didnt need a permission thing then, some one tell ricky get the mirrored coll shield back on:cooldude:
 
I think they can wear visors.. but for medical reasons they want players to wear ones where they can still the eyes of the player in case of serious injury and they dont want to remove the helmet.

just think about howmany players wear a black non see through shield lt for one, just strange wish he could go back to wearing cool mirrored shield
 
Unless given medical clearance the NFL bans the use of the 'Reflective' visors because it can be a distraction to opposing players due to the reflection of sun or stadium lights.
 
Odds are Ricky is has a medical condition with light sensitivity, and that's why he is allowed to wear visors like that.

If I remember correctly, that's also the reason why Ricky wore a visor like that, was so that defenders couldn't see his eyes to see which way he was going when he made his cuts.
