Ricky's mom weighs in....

He will shed spme weight for speed, I'd say he will be between 225-229, which is ideal and great news to hear, ah memories lol.

Thats wayyyy to big for Tuna and Co..I Expect him to be around 225 for the season.:woot:

as long as he runs like the old ricky, i dont care if he is 300lbs

From the report on NFL live yesterday Tuna and Ricky hit it off good. Ricky said he was surprised at how well it went because he wasn't sure Bill wanted him or not. Obviously his weight wasn't one of the topics but Ricky did say Bill wanted him to play a mentor role and help the team in many ways while sharing carries. In case anyone missed it.

Ricky is at 236??? Thats some of the best news I ve heard all off-season. That seperated shoulder must be in pretty good shape. Ricky has always been a fitness nut, if hes 236 I bet its a shredded 236. I do expect him to loose a few pounds in TC. 228-230 would be an awesome weight. God, just imagine for a moment if he did return to 02 production....we might have something in that case.

Wow, I have chills thinking that with our younger & bigger front line opening the holes, Ricky and Ronnie could really have an incredible year!! Now, if we can create a decent passing game to spread the D's and keep them guessing, we may have a chance to win more than one game this year. :d-day:

I was thinking the same thing. :kick:

it's so easy to get swept up in the ricky scenario with feel good thoughts about what he is capable of. i am very excited to see him back for a full season, although i am also trying to retain my excitement because I'm scared he will hurt us again :(

If we're leaning toward a power offense it's probably a good weight for him to be @.

She said Ricky, who set a team record with 1,853 rushing yards in 2002, is fully recovered from a torn right pectoral muscle suffered on Nov. 26 at Pittsburgh. On his sixth carry of the game, Williams laid on the ground when Steelers rookie linebacker Lawrence Timmons stepped on the back of his right shoulder, causing the injury.

The league determined it was an accident.

Sandy doesn’t buy it. “Look at the tape. That was a punk move,” she said.

Yeah, Timmons is a punk! And the league is weak for allowing that bull**** to go unpunished. I thought it was pretty obvious he jump up and tried to land on Ricky.

Sandy said Ricky is eager to share carries with RB Ronnie Brown, who is nearly seven months removed from an ACL tear in his right knee and hopes to be ready for the opener. The tandem combined for 1,650 rushing yards in 2005 - Williams’ last season in the NFL before his one-game comeback in 2007.

The Dolphins finished 9-7 that season, the team’s only winning record in four years.

The fact that the only few recent winning seasons are with Ricky in the backfield is pretty interesting. I also think every Dolphins fan has felt some level of betrayl from Ricky, some obviously more so than others. I blaze all the time and even I was very angry with him at one point. But, he is one of my favorite altheletes of all time and I'm glad to see some the fan base is supporting his comeback. I really think our running game could be something special this year if our oline gels early and the QB play is halfway decent. Oh, and if RB and RW return to form. Go R & R Express! Jake the Giant will be laying the tracks for your trains!

I hear ya, but the guy really needs the money. He knows this is his last chance.
