Whats with all the posts blaming saban and asking for Jimmy Johnson or Wanstache back. Do you realize how nuts those statements are?

Id like all the saban haters to tell me how many games they expected us to win when we hired saban. did you expect one coach to change a pittiful 3 win team to a super bowl contender in 1 season? If so your expectations were way too high. The talent is not yet on this team to be good. We still have a lot of changes to make...too many for saban

I completely agree with you. the troubling part is that our D is aging fast. And by the time we are ready to roll, Taylor and Thomas will not be as great an dit could set us back. But were rebuilding so losses like today just have to be accepted as "normal".

I'm sorry but I will not accept a LOSS as NORMAL!!! Not now not ever, if we play to the best of our abilities and lose I can deal with that. We arent playing anywhere near up to our capability, and this team has more talent than it is given credit for. We have some very young and talented players that dont get enough respect, and then we have some young players that have "potential" and have been living off of it for years. I have no problem with Saban except for his failure to fix the penalty problem, I think Saban will lead us to do great things. I dont know if its him or Linehan but somebody needs to figure this offense problem out. You should be riding those two studs in the backfield if we are in a game and not playing catch up, but they had what 10 carries COMBINED at the half?!?!?!

The offensive or Defensive issues we have come down to talent not coaching. If any thing the coaching alone has taken the substandard talent we had and improved them 10 fold.

give it time, additonal changes in personnel will come

I will say this to any Saban bashers.....Saban is more of the answer to our problems, then an additonal problem to the answer we were looking for.

Saban is fine, give it time.

Yes but the problems we have can be schemed around, and thats my beef with the playcalling. We know our pass protection can be down right awful, so we need to be careful on the number of downfield plays we call. We can also use draws and screens to slow down a defensive rush. On defense we all know where the weakness is, so we blitz to force quick decisions. The only problem is we dont get consistant pressure from the blitz, we need to show blitz and then at the snap drop 7 back. We have heard about all the complex blitz schemes but at this point they arent working, so we have to find something that is. We are driving a square peg into a round hole with a sledge hammer.

Some people just like to complain about everything.. sure gus had bad passes.. but recievers didnt catch some too.. the oline had way too many penalties.... and didnt provide peotection when we needed it..
Where was the running game?

Oh now its saban... Maybe its players not EXECUTING...

Do you really expect a SB contender in the 1st year?... cmon

Normal as in its normal to struggle when your five games into changing nearly eveything about your team. Get off the :soapbox: .

LOL, I know what was meant but seeing the Dolphins lose should never be normal. Its a necessary evil at this point, and would be easier to take if we were just out played. At this point we beat ourselves more than any team beats us. I am a huge fan of Saban, thus the reason I changed my name to Nicky Napoleon but he needs to address the penalties rather than letting the captains make them run gassers.

the penalties(offside and false starts) cant be fixed by Saban they are mental errors by the players. All he can do is release them bench them or fine them. He has made them run gassers and the first play from offense and defense this game we had penalties. What can he do? I thought some of the play calling was bad but i thought alot of it was good but we dropped balls and overthrew balls i guess that was Sabans fault too.

Parcells is one of the best BB is one of the best coachs ever look at their first year with the Patsies and Cowgirls. Rome wasnt built in a day

I disagree a little with what you're saying. We are below average at two very important positions on offense, QB and oLine. These positions are vital in order to be sucessful in this league. You can't have your QB getting blindsided twice a game that result in turnovers. We definately have alot of talent on this team. Unfortuantely, it's lacking in other areas that even it out to pretty much a .500 team at best.

Bench a player for screwing up on the job, now theres an idea whos time has come. False start...SIT DOWN......Dropped pass.....SIT DOWN, if it continues hit them in the wallet. How many mental lapses have we had, and without those how many games do you think we would have lost. Its hard to tell but we will not return to a contender with all of the BONEHEAD plays we are making. I know Nick was trying to let the team handle it themselves, but we are the most penalized team in the league, and for the most part we have played one fewer game than the rest.

Agreed, I think Saban feels that they are the best players to when with that is why he wont sit them i guess. I dont understand all of a sudden this team is jumps offside so much  you know last week was bad this week was bad i dont see Saban putting up with this to much more. He is harder on players than what we have seen we both know that. I'm just not buying that he is a bad coach all of a sudden

You are right, but when you have two RB's like we have you have to use them rather than let Gus throw all the time. When he does throw we should be calling high percentage plays to minimize his ability to flub things up. Quick slants, screen passes, 10 yard in routes and then you start the playaction passing to help buy time. We have two RB's that can catch the ball use that to our advantage and get the ball in the hands of the playmakers. If the WR's cant hold the ball bench them Wes Welker is on the verge of taking their jobs as it is.

I dont think he is a bad coach by any means I think hes a great coach. But I remember the players talking in the pre-season about all the discipline he was bringing in, and I cant figure out how we all of sudden became the most undisciplined team in the league.

Reality check for those second guessing Saban, Tampa is a good team that beat us. We are not executiing anywhere near the way we should to to be considered a decent team, much less a good team. What were experiencing today and probably throughout the season is growing pains... not bad coaching.
