After hearing Sparano state that White will get snaps at Qb, which led Beck to his release, it got me thinking. Will this hurt the chemistry of our WR's. We all know that it is a very different spin from the moment the ball is released. Even though both Chad's are right handed, the balls are thrown very differently (velocity). With such a young group of WR's does this effect their chemistry and slow their progress. Thought? Is it worth him cutting deeply into Chad's snaps. This concerns me because I really dont see White throwing the ball more than 20 times all year.

Probably not .. a football is a football, and its their job to catch it. If they don't, then they'll be buried on the depth chart.

For Pat White to be effective in the WildCat he will have to throw the ball enough that the Defenses will have to respect the pass. How many passes will that take?
I don't know. I have no way of knowing but I think we will have 15 to 20 wildcat snaps per game. Of those probably 30-40% will be pass. I could be wrong just a opinion. We will know more as training camp and Preseason commence. The other problem is how much do you really want to show and tip your hand. We may not know much until the season begins.

Didn't seem to hurt Stabler, Esiason, Steve Young, Mark Brunell, or Vick; not to mention Pat White throwing to college-level WR's. If the WR's can catch a ball thrown by a lefty, it says more about them than it does about the QB.

If we actually run 20 wildcat plays a game I would be shocked! How many times did we run the wildcat all last year? I couldnt find the number but I am guessing 50 times and I can only remeber us throwing it twice.

there is no distinction of right handed and left handed.I dont get these idiotic excuses for leftys,"the rotation of the ball is different" or "wrong", or "off".Its not like coaches and players recommend to QB they would be better of using their right hand. You are what you are,and whether it works out for you, theres nothing you,or anyone else can do about it.:rolleyes2:

i get where ur coming from but here's another thought to ponder...if Pat White arrives at camp, lights it up and gets significant snaps at qb what r ur feelings on mt vernon protecting his blind side rather than big jake?

I just hope we don't get too cute with the Wildcat, that we don't take advantage of Ronny, Ricky, and Cobb.

I still think that the wildcat will be used to keep defenses on their toes but not as a frequent formation. I hope you guys are right about there not being a big difference between righty vs lefty. I know these guys are pros so they better catch everything, my fear is the all three QB's are so different in every sense.

I play a lot of football and I struggle with left handed QB's. Maybe thats why i am not in the pros.

I'd say the number is closer to 150. I'm guessing about 8-12 times per game, for 14 games (plus 1 post-season game if you want to count that).

I see the number going up slightly this year with the addition of White....so 15 per game sounds about right to me.
