Interesting interview.

“He’s a fire guy, crazy motivational speaker. When he speaks, he gets under your blood, and he gets your hairs popping up. He just makes you want to go to war right then and there, right when it’s done,” Matthews said. “That’s just how he’s been since he’s stepped in as interim head coach, and that’s just the type of guy he is, nothing changes. This is basically what I said two weeks ago, when Dan Campbell was named head coach.

Seriously, a winning record is more then enough to be HC on this team. I'm absolutely astounded that Sean Payton could take over this team, and if he does, I hope Campbell has a place very close to Payton. It's only 1 win, but god damn what a win.

I'll reserve my opinion on him after the season is complete. This team has started his head coaching tenure on the right foot but let's see if this team competes and plays hard every game.

The Head Coach doesn't have to come up with the X's and O's. The OC's and DC's deal with that. The Head Coach provides leadership and the vision of how he wants his team to attack.

The Xs and Os thing is overblown as far as the HC goes. Also, who says he doesn't understand them? It's not like it's Vector Calculus.

Funny how you don't hear talk from the media now about Peyton or some other person for head coach. Like in said before...let the man do his job. It is his to lose and if he does a good job then we have already found our coach.

There will be growing pains...he is learning on the job. However, I do believe he could be the right man for the job and it is highly disrespectful to name replacements at this point.

A coach absolutely needs to know the x and o's. He leads the staff too on strategy and schemes and has to be good at making adjustments and recognizing when the coordinators aren't making the right decisions.
I hope he shows that bc he has the leadership this team has needed for a long time. Never wanted a coach to succeed more! What a story this guy would be.
