How about a dark blue. Almost black. But not quite black.

Need I remind you that the team colors are : aqua , orange, white, and apparently now a navy blue. Colors that are NOT a part of this franchise: black, gray, pick, or any other stupid color.

I agree. I find the notion rather silly that since the team is perceived as soft that wearing black would alleviate that.
If ya don't want to be perceived as soft, go out there and gut stomp the other team while wearing aqua, orange, and white.
No fking black, silver or any other such color.

They'll never do what I want, so I'll reluctantly accept whatever abomination they come up with. I'll watch every game even if the unis make me want to hurl chunks. If they ask me, go to the 1970 throwbacks for every single game. Aqua or white jerseys. White pants always. Those are the times I would like to see the team get with. They come up with all these variations just to get fans to spend more $$ on merchandise.

I might be a marketing moron about this.... but clearly people like the throwbacks. Maybe? People would buy MORE of the throwbacks of different players if offered? Or did a classic line? Readily available Csonka, Marino, Griese, etc? I don't know. Maybe they do that already? But I'm with you. I won't spend a dime on any of this new shiny stuff that's meant to distract me from the actual quality of the team.

There’s a SI cover with a dolphins player back in the day I think it was even before 72 where he had this deep rich aqua blue color on it, can’t find it but I know it’s out there

Yeah, I liked those Jaguars uniforms. I think Miami can do even better. Some of those designs for a black Dolphins helmet look really good.

We're also talking about an alternative uniform, which might be used a couple of times a year. Personally, I hate the all orange alternates. Although, I think orange works well as a complementary color.
