Rob Konrad

I would agree with Alstott, Henderson, Schlesinger, Richardson, and for just a blocker, Krieder, Neal, and Strong. Also R. Anderson is right up there though Dallas is using him as more of a TB than a FB as the Jets did.

But does that make Rob the "worst"???

And don't even get me started with Leonard on a team that can't beat Div 1AA New Hampshire!

There is a real issue on how Rob is used, and as far as "stepping up their game", it depends on how they fit with the O system (if Forrester has one) and there are about 18 of 22 starters that fit in that boat!
I never said worst, I said overrated.

PS

Watch Leonard play, he is a beast! I watch all the games because I'm friends with the future QB (Teel) Family. This kid Leonard can catch, block and run (and he runs over people).

This makes no sense. If the ball is hitting him in his body and he is trying to catch it, how much more accurate can you throw it?
You are right - it makes no sense. Rob had 4 passes thrown to him last night.

The first was a safety valve - high over his head

The second was flair to the right - over his head

he got a hand on these but they were uncatchable.

The third was a flair to the right for a first down.

The fourth was in the end zone while running to the right, was behind and to the left a foot off the ground.

The point is that none were anywhere close to "hitting him in the body" as anyone who saw the game can attest to.

that was what i thought. he can catch and run but dont expect him to make one handed catches cos a WR he aint. when he dropped that flair pass i blamed Fiedler straight away cos Konrad was open and Fiedler threw it too high!! he wud have had a nice gain if our QB had took some air off the pass.

but you didnt submit any information that proves me or anyone else wrong.
You can't prove subjective, emotional, outbursts wrong with facts because of what they are. You say Rob sucks, OK that is your opinion and I am calling you out on it!

You say balls have "gone through his hands". OK YOU ARE WRONG and I challenge you to name the play and game where that happened.

I'll take your absurd comments about Nails and being cut for what they are, frustration with being held accountable for your absurd remarks.

Again - name plays and games to support your opinions or don't make them! And you can start with the four balls thrown to Rob last night.

I'm waiting (again).

Agreed. If you want to venture out on a limb and call any play a turning point in the game, Lee's fumble was it.
I completly agree. That turned the whole game around.

Also the absent of david and Larry had an obvious impact on the game. It almost makes me wonder(God forgive me) if Zach overrated.

Fair enough - you did not say worst - you said most over rated.

I am a huge Syracuse and Big East fan and have seen Leonard play. He is a good one and I would love to see him have an opportunity to show his stuff at the next level.

Zach is a superb player for the system we use and that system is having Bowens and Chester use their size to hold up the opositions OL and Zach comes around to make the tackle. Problem we have now is hes getting an OL on him and hes struggling to make the tackle. Mawae was in his face all nite due to the inefectiveness of our 2 DT's. That is where Zachs size lets him down but thats not the guys fault.

That fumble by Lee really turned the momentum. Did you see Wanny's face when he coughed the ball up?
Lee better keep running cos Wanny looked like he wanted to kill the guy!

but drops too many passes
OK

"drops" to me means that a pass is on the numbers and slips through the receiver's hands. This is different from a pass thrown high, low, or behind, that at best the receiver gets his finger tips on.

So - do you disagree with my definition? Or do you think that Rob has "dropped" many passes that he should have caught?

Please provide plays and games to support your statements and don't fall to the level of those emotional "fans" who criticize without facts.

I have 6 years of game tapes and am ready to enter into a dialog with you about this issue.

Okay Rob Konrad.. glad to get your attention..
youre judging me by my age?? what are you like 3 years older than I am?
Thats nice that you can bash somebody for their post, but you didnt submit any information that proves me or anyone else wrong. Sorry, but nobody needs a VCR to realize that Rob Konrad sucks and more balls go through his hands than your fat girlfriend from Syracuse. Heck, Jamie Nails could be a better fullback than Konrad is. Hopefully you will get cut and sent to the Bears like the rest of the Wanny garbage.
Come on Jnaledu3. We're waiting for your facts as to which games and plays were the ones where the ball "went through Rob's hands". You say he sucks - but can't provide any evidence?! Yes you got my attention, as all absurd posts do. So here is the proverbial "put up or shut up"! Which games and which plays? We're waiting.

nothing to do with his play last night, but imo he is always injured and out at least 2 games a year it seems. i think he has ability but he needs to have more touches inorder to make him a weapon. the coaching staff talks about it but never does it. when he was out last year and we used ayenbadjo, i think he got the most touches we've seen by a dolphins full back since zsonka. i think he is a good blocking and receiving back. he blocked for rw just fine.

1 career touchdown. 1!!!

You are exactly right! Enough said!

First of all, it doesn't even attempt to answer the questions about which games and passes support your allegations about Rob's pass catching abilities. I have to assume that you are avoiding the question because you realize you are wrong.

Second - Rob has 5 career TDs, not 1 (see 2004 Media Guide page 146).

So - Like you say - "enough said" shows that you have absolutely no idea as to what the real facts are, and you have lost whatever small amount of credibility that you might have had with this erroneous response. In addition, your obvious attempt to avoid embarrassment on the pass catching topic by segwaying into a non-relevant statistic (TDs) also speaks volumes.

Enough Said!

Rob has had more injuries than average - part of that is the position. The good news is that he has no chronic or structural knee problems (mostly bad luck).

Femi did have a game or two with 4 or 5 touches as I recall, but looking at the years since Czonka, Rob had a 10 reception game against Washington in the 1999 season (All time single game Dolphin's record for a rookie and tied for fourth for all players).

Likewise, if Konrad had hands around his feet, ankles and knees, he'd have 50-60 ctaches this season, because FIEDLER KEEPS THROWING BALLS THERE WHEN KONRAD IS OPEN!

AND NOT ONLY THAT, BUT FEIDLER ALSO THROWS THEM BEHIND KONRAD!!

So, yeah - Konrad sucks for not having hands on the backs of his ankles.

How dare he.

BUMP.

I think this guy "Dakota" IS Rob Konrad.

Dakota was waiting for a response from me on why I thought Konrad sucks and is an underachiever. Well looks like the end justifies the means seeing that Konnie pulled a Ricky today..
