Also, McD has stated he has raised his level of play this year. Now, could be just coach blowing smoke. Could also be the guy has actually become better.

Cotton was bottom depth last year. He was forced, by injuries, into a tough position at the worst possible time.

Players do learn and get better. I believe (maybe naively) that is the case here.
