I was watching the Raiders, Chargers game last night and the announcers were saying how Robert Gallery is a complete bust. IMO I think it is just that he has not had good coaching in Oakland. Being from Iowa I heard alot about him through college. I think that if the raiders view him as a bust they may be willing to part with him. He is only in his 3rd year in the league, and I would guarantee Houck could turn him in to what he was expected to be. He would deffinately help out on the offensive line. It will be interesting to see if Shell will keep him in Oakland. His contract has to be getting progressively more expensive and maybe their is that possibility that they cut him in the off-season. I Would like to see that happen.

No. My friend is a Raiders fan and all he has done is complained about him the last year years, ESPECIALLY from his performance last night. No Thanks

Turner is an offensive guru, Shell is a strong disciplinarian, if he couldn't make it under either of them, I certainly don't want him. Sometimes a guy looks good incollege, then gets into the NFL and he just flat sucks. Seems to be the case here.

His natural position is LT, they've played him at RT the last two years. He was having a hard time last night at LT, but he was going against one of the best in the business.. I think if the price was right, then ya give him a look.

Miami needs to stop experimenting with re-treads and former busts and get some PROVEN O-linemen.,. The reason our offensive line has sucked for so long is because of your approach of getting awful linemen hoping we can cast a magic spell by wearing aqua and orange that'll turn them around..

We have way too many Bennie Anderson stories as it is wasting roster spots.

Does the name Tony Mandrich come to mind? He was same way IMO.

No thanks... I wouldn't wanna take on his contract. Too rich for an unproven player. He still could turn into a very good player but in his 3rd year he still hasn't looked that good to take on that contract.

See that could be renegotiated, or if he was cut we would just make it fit to our terms.

Art Shell was an all pro OL for many years. If he thinks Gallery is a bust...he is a bust.We dont know if he thinks that. Some OL take three or four years to blossom.

Damn. Give the guy some time to work his way in. He hasnt play LT since college. He played well at RT last year. I think the Raiders messed up not drafting Lienart. Lienart is left handed so Gallery could of stayed at the RT spot to protect Lienart blindside.

Announcers are always calling someone a bust if they don't live up to certain standards. Let's wait and see what Art Shell and Jackie Slater can do with him this year because we talk about him being traded or released.

Yep, the draft is the best way to change that IMO. Teams usually don't let proven O-linemen test free agency like the Seahawks did this year with Hutch.

why do people guarantee things they have no control over?

GOod point. Let me rephrase. I would like to think Houck would be able to help him out.
