I know that he came from a small school and with covid, he didn't have much time to adjust to the NFL speed. However, for him being a 2nd round pick you would expect him to at some point this season. Do you guys think that he gets some more playing time later this year? So far, I have really only seen him on goal line packages.

I would be surprised if he didn't get around eight starts. The coaching staff and the front office needs to evaluate him and see if Hunt can nail down the RT spot.

The conventional wisdom is, if he shows up in practice, he will get opportunities on gameday.

While I do agree with that general philosophy, I don't think an O-lineman gets the same opportunity in practice that most other position groups may see.

More likely, in the unfortunate event of injury, he then gets a true shot at the starting lineup.

O-line is not, typically, a place which you want to rotate guys.

unless there is an injury it's gonna be hard for him to get there. Davis is doing well at RT and he's a team captain. RG? Kindley's doing well there too. I doubt they play him on the left side and who would you bench to give him playing time?

Wish we had taken Shanult there instead. But hey if Kindley is the real deal it will hurt a lot less even if Hunt turns out to be bust

Davis is the weak link on the Oline right now. Exactly as it should be at this point. I expect to see Hunt soon. He has to get time before Tua is brought in.
I would propose Karras is the weak link here.

Davis has been plenty solid this season. I doubt he ever attains pro bowl level play, but he has done nothing to warrant disparage.

I actually think Karras has done well imo. I've seen him with a few key blocks out there. Most of our running game has been inside and Karras is part of that. Not saying he's perfect but he's done well.

I agree its either TK or Davis. I've noticed more negative impacts from Davis, but that's all my judgement. Also I have the outside impact as more important. And the possible upgrade there as very impactful. I want to see hunt where FloCo envisioned him before tua is brought in. I've always said our Oline isnt finished until Davis is 6th man.

I can't disagree. None of the guys have stood out as bad.

When's the last time we could say that?

I’m guessing three rookies starting on the OL makes the staff quezy. I still love the pick.

Karras and Davis are the primary targets to replace after the season, we will see how it goes the rest of the way with both. That said, we already have 2 starting rookies so it’s a disservice to a 39 year old QB and go with inexperienced guys right out of the gate, especially this season.

You’d expect Hunt to play at some point but we fully expect to see Tua so you know the staff will do all it can to assure the OL is as qualified as possible.

There’s a chance two rookies starting on the OL again next year.
