I would think the Eagles would be the best fit. Can't see the Bills making a play for him. The Jets may but I'd like to see him wind up with the Rams.
The best fit for him is likely an arena league team. Although I am not sure he is talented enough to play QB on one of those teams.
RG3-14 is a huge bust. I stated before that draft that I would not select him in the 7th round. He can not play QB in the NFL. His "talent" was always highly over rated. He simply is not good. He can play QB in college. There is a huge difference between college ball and the NFL.
Accuracy = Horrible - This was a skill that was always highly overstated with Griffin. There is a difference between completing passes in college to guys who are wide open vs. slow and inferior defenses, most often against single safety due to the fact the QB will carry the ball on a designed run fairly often. His deep ball was most often over hyped.
Footwork = Horrible - Some of the worst footwork I have ever seen from a QB starting games in the NFL.
Ability to read coverages = Non existent - Again, this was not something that was really ever required of Griffin in college. We often heard about Griffin's football IQ, but how could people have evaluated something that was never tested?
Those are the 3 most important aspects of playing QB in the NFL. Griffin is horrible at all of them. I do not care where he goes, he will not be successful at playing QB in the NFL. The only way he could ever do any damage is if he starts running those 80 yard TDs again. But, that will not happen for a couple of reasons. First, he suffered that injury to his knee and appears to have lost some top end speed. But, most importantly is NFL defenses have tremendous speed and once teams figure out schemes to shut that college nonsense down, it pretty much goes away. We still see some teams run some read option here and there, but it is usually only effective vs. some of the very worst defenses in the league that lack speed.
Now we can get to Griffin's character which was also completely over hyped. Awsi had some great posts in several threads about Bob Griffin which pointed out instances in which you could see his true character on display. The media however ignored these things and went along with the agenda that Griffin was this outstanding young man with a great head on his shoulders. That was all B.S. Griffin parlayed all of it into some big money via advertisements and a high draft slot, but in the end he was exposed. All it took was a season for defenses to figure out how to keep him in the pocket and force him to make decisions and tough throws. He obviously can not make good decisions or tough throws and everything crumbled from there.
Bob Griffin is selfish, arrogant, lacks intelligence, and is not very talented in terms of making quick decisions from the pocket and delivering accurate throws. In short, he is a BUST. Any GM or HC who thinks they can jump start his career is a fool. Dan Snyder was a fool for trading all of those picks to draft him in the first place. It is laughable that some people actually would have selected him over Andrew Luck.
Some of those threads from that draft are pure GOLD.
