Roberto Wallace/Marlon Moore Expectations

Lol, I'll take this to mean you're ready to just let this die and move on. Good show.
NO I abosolutely enjoy beating my head against the wall. I still don't think you know what i'm typing. but I absolutely get what you've done.

This makes me think of Vontae.. He is going into his 4th season and we are still waiting for him to make the jump to elite. There are people on this board who have and still do label him an elite QB but IMO they'd be wrong. The past two seasons we have been waiting for him to take the next step to the elite level, but he hasnt... Is he good, definitely, is he above average, Id say so, but is he elite, definitely not. He still has that weekly brain fart where he gives up one 50 yard pass play. For those who disagree, simply pick any elite CB and ask yourself if you would rather have Davis over that CB.. Id certainly take Revis over Vontae.
there's a list i'd take over vonte. it didn't take sam or pat that long to emerge.

who are these bums people keep talking about? let em walk. obviously they suck if they can't get on the field with our lack of talent.

blah blah

Roberto Wallace is still garbage. This team is not better off with targets going to scrubs like him instead of Marshall. That's nonsense. And Naanee is awful as well. Proved that last year. If he plays on anything but special teams, where he;s actually decent at, we have some real problems that's for sure.

Welcome to the offseason, where every FO move is the correct move and every young roster stash is set to realize his potential.

Exactly. Hate this time of year. The homerism is always a little too much to bear.

I don't think you believe that. In fact there is no way you believe that. there is a lot of critisim going around, even since the draft.

People ramp up the homerism every year at this time. It's like clockwork. Every scrub is about to finally have a breakout year. Every player who does something decent in camps is going to do it in actual games. Every player who does something bad in camps, well it's just camps, who cares.

This post is preposterous.

The reason Marshall's stats will not replaced by any one player is because this coach isn't running that kind of offense. None of the Dolphins WR's in 2012 are going to come anywhere near 147 targets.

The Marshall experiment was a dismal failure. He isn't an elite WR and he never was. He has never been rated any higher than the twenties.

Buy into the Philbin plan and you will be happier. Drink the Philbin cool-aid and believe that spreading the ball around to whoever is open instead of prioritizing one target, and you will be glad you did.

I love this new offense that makes diva WR's obsolete.

We don't need any of those over-hyped, over-paid jackasses demanding the ball. By the end of next year Philbin will have his core of WR's who can get open and catch the ball, and this offense will rock.

Garbage WR's are exactly that, garbage WR's. Philbin doesn't have some magical pixie dust that he can sprinkle on his playbook to make garbage WR's perform because of some magical offensive philosophy. This offense isn't magical, and doesn't make anything obsolete. It will be one of the 5 worst in the league with absolute trash at WR that don't get open and don't make plays, and the absolute trash we have at QB. Matt Moore is going to wish he had a WR like Marshall to bail him out. Now he gets to prove just how bad he really is spreading it around to a bunch of scrubs.

Until Gates becomes Cruz and Wallace or someone becomes Brandon Marshall-esque, you are so correct. I have hope for Gates, but not a lot. I can't think of many other teams with a worse passing attack than us. Who knows though, with Pennington we got some wins with Ted Ginn as our #1...

I'm really not trying to be a dick, but there is so much pure garbage in this post that I don't even know where to begin.

I believe all these WR's will be given a fair shot especially since we have no real veteran recievers who are beat up and might nudge out some promising talent. What Wallace and Moore could have working against them is that they have been kept around for one purpose like play ST and if a veteran went out in a game to fill in the roster spot in that game until another veteran could be signed. So if they were signed to fill in as a traditional WR and play ST and we are auditioning for West Coast wide recievers that will hurt them. I expect this offense to help Bess the most because he has been out real slot reciever the past 3 years plus has proven reliable and gets the yards after the catch too.

Time will tell who is right and wrong on this one. Even if you are correct on how much talent Marshall brought to the team his comments bascially negated his contributions. Thats why the Broncos gave him away for 2 2nd rounders and we gave him away for 2 3rd rounders. The Marshall thing reminds me of come connerback (who was fairly talented we traded for quite a few years ago). I think his name was Tim something and we ending up trading him the falcons. Anyway he came in claiming this or that and what a great pickup he was and when we traded him away more of the same trash talking. IMO Sporano was done and gone as the head coach on this team 2 years ago when Marshall bascially undermined the coach during the Pats game at the end of the year when he demanded that Henne be benched and Thigpen be the QB. Not saying Henne was great or Sporano did not need to go etc but Marshall undermined the coach and the team was done at that point for 2011 because of his antics. If I had been Philbin getting rid of Marshall would have been one of the first moves I made taking over the phins also.

LOL just literally burst out laughing at your response. Well done.

I think I read, however, that league rules dictate that only a handful of teams are actually allowed to install the WCO offense... because it, in it of itself, is so special and explosive, that it would render defenses obselete and tilt scoreboards like a pinball machine even if WRs were replaced with wobbly-wheeled shopping carts[/extra douchy sarcasm].

Gates is the only guy I have any hope for, and even then, it's only a slight hope.

This isn't really about Marshall though. I wasn't a big fan either. It's about people thinking Philbin has some type of magical offensive philosophy that makes having talent at WR obsolete that really gets under my skin. For all of Marshall's faults though, he's still superior to anything we have on the roster, and losing him while not bringing in any WR talent to replace him doesn't make our passing game better at all.

It's difficult to respond to a generic blanket statement of ,"much pure garbage,". A cowardly retort if ever there was one. Perhaps the aforementioned metaphor applies.

At this moment you are correct because Marshall was brought in to be the alpha reciever and it probably retarded the growth of the other recievers even if you make the argument and correct that they are less talented than Marshall. Bess numbers went down for sure. Cream will rise if given the chance and if we do not have it on the team Ireland will bring in some until we find what we need. He is good at that.
