It has been reported by numerous members on ESPN that this trade had went down and they all heard it from NBA TV.

Look like you all got ya a vet guard that you wanted.

Could you tell me about Fitch? He did pretty good in college, but I don't know what he is like in the NBA.

EDIT: A pick is suppose to be sent along with Fitch for DA. Don't know the whole story, but the only thing for sure is DA for Fitch.

I didn't really like him. The only real reason he was even on our team is because JWill misses a lot of games due to his knee. I like this trade if it's true, but we do need another PG for insurance now...

I'll tell you everything you need to know.

he is a streak shooter with 3 pt. range.

He will defend the hell out of anyone at his position.

He turns the ball over ALOT.

he makes alot of mistakes in team defense.

Are you serious?

It was from ESPN board, so take it for a grain of salt. The only reason why I posted this was because there was more then 5 people that said they heard it from NBA TV. If it was wrong, then I apologize.

it is OFFICIAL.

Heat trade Gerald Fitch and their 1.9 Trade exception to Rockets for Derek Anderson.

Thanks for the backup source.

Clearly you guys got the better player, but we wanted to dump DA and we atleast wanted to get a young cheap player in return.

My bad. I thought I saw a link there.

Do you think that DA will play alot for the Heat this season?

I say 12 minutes a game or so...he fits perfectly on the second unit that we use without Wade.

Payton/Anderson/Posey/Walker/Shaq or ZO.

If Anderson's got anything left in the tank, he could be a big help for the Heat. It wasn't *THAT* long ago that he was a heck of a 2 guard.

That is a nice, nice deal for the Heat. Gerald Fitch is average at best and needs a lot of development. Three years ago, he becomes a Haslem-type project. Now, though, we turned a UDFA into a proven, veteran 2-guard to allow GP to play his real position and Wade to not have to go 42 minutes a night or whatever he's been playing lately.

DA started off cold in Houston, heated up, got hurt, and lost PT to Luther Head (who has been great for the Rockets).

And since he's been hurt, Keith Bogans came over to the Rockets, and Rafer Alston got healthy so there was no place for him.

DA's skill level was overexaggerated when he was brought to the Rockets (he,Swift, and Alston were suppose to put them over the top), but to a team like the Heat, he's a good pick up.

Plus, he's a better offensive player than Anderson, and more consistent than Kapono.
