University of Louisville cornerback Rod Council was dismissed from the football program today after he was arrested in connection with an armed robbery in his native North Carolina.

Council was being held Wedneday in the Haywood County (N.C.) Detention Center on $50,000 bond for a charge of robbery with a dangerous weapon.

According to a story on the Asheville (N.C) Citizen-Times Web site, Council is accused of robbing the Time Out Market in Jonathan Creek around 4:15 a.m. Wednesday...

English better be a miracle worker because there is no one left on an already horrible defense.

He was a Petrino left over that evidently didn't know how to handle the new found "freedom" of having a good coach like Kragthorpe. Beware Razorback fans, this is the type of kid that Petrino will be recruiting for your football team...:shakeno:

I'm not sure but he blew his future. He was a good enough player that we would have probably been a mid-round draft pick in the '09 NFL draft.

Its a damn shame.
