"I'm happy being in Miami. It's a great place to live, and they have an up-and-coming team. I'm going to have the opportunity to go in there and do some great things."
my feeling is that he knew from the combine that there was something with his shoulder. However he was in denial because obviously he was still working out with it and hoping that he would still get drafted as early as possible.
this is nice i was looking at this site draftanalysis and they have rod wright rated as their # 3 dt take a look. just highlight the dt part of the position tabs on the right hand side. http://gridirongrumblings.com/draftanalysis/
I'm glad we got him and even happier that he has a chip on his shoulder. I think sometimes that extra motivation can be what turns an average guy into a great player. Saban likes motivated guys so it should be a good fit.
Sounds like an honest, upfront guy. It's so weird how this kid has an injury that everyone knows about but him, not very fair. Must have been very humbling to drop so far so fast and not know why! This is a guy I want on my team!
