Okay, my understanding of football is not as limited as this thread may make it seem, but does this situation make it more likely that we win the division?

Our team is very balanced with nearly double digits in probowl talent.

The Pats and Bills just lost their best defensive players.

These guys make major impacts and their loss will certainly cost their teams some games.

Does anybody have an opinion on this?

I really don't think they can get to double digit wins with these two gone, especially without having played the dolphins one time.

Double digits in pro bowl talent? WOW, you are drinking the Kool-Aid.

After Jason Taylor I dont' see too many PRO BOWLERS on Miami. That isn't a knock on anyone or the team, just being honest.

i think the pats will get double digit wins they always find a way to plug someone in and find a way to win....the bills an the otherhand unless losman steps up HUGE they may be done.

Wow, I knew it. I saw that hit on Harrison, he could put no weight on that leg at all. I told my wife "blown ACL, mark it"

Spikes will hurt more than Harrison for three reasons:

1. Spikes is a better player than Harrison. Rodney is a great motivator and aggressive player, but he's not the safety that Spikes is LB.

2. You can replace a safety and scheme it over a little bit, but you can't replace the MLB. He's the heart of the D and little nuances here and there could cost dozens of yards over the course of a game.

3. The Pats run a great system and they've thus far been able to plug just about anyone in. They covered up the Law injury last year and started my great aunt at CB. I think they'll be fine, but the Bills don't scheme the same way and will miss the smart, athletic play of a damn fine MLB.

Wait, let me list the players I know have made the pro bowl:

Gus Frerrote
Olindo Mare
Ricky Williams
Jason Taylor
Zach Thomas
Kevin Carter
Sam Madison
Marty Booker
David Boston
Lance Schulters
Junior Seau
Randy McMichael (alternate)

Now to add to that, Chris Chambers can, Ronnie Brown can, Keith Traylor will, Wes Welker can...

Am I wrong with either statement?

Yea, Sam Madison WAS Pro Bowl talent, but IDK lately, and that's not knocking him, he's my favorite player on the team. Same with Zach, he has Pro Bowl talent, hopefully he makes it back. Ricky is another former pro bowler that is a possibility IF he returns to form when he gets back, and MAYBE Randy M assuming Gates doesn't go crazy again this year, since Tony G seems to make it every damn year. Judging by that, and including JT, that makes FIVE players with the POTENTIAL to make it, with one that most likely will (JT), and when I apply the math I learned in 1st grade, that leaves 5 more til double digits.......

Rodney Harrison didn't just tear his ACL. He also tore his PCL (the other ligament in the middle) and MCL (the ligament along the inside of the knee).

This is the type of injury that Willis McGahee had. At least 12 months to rehab, probably more since Harrison is an older player with a lot of wear and tear. If he is able to come back, it won't be until the 2007 season. Personally, I think his career is over.

Zach Thomas- if he keeps this up hes a lock.
RandY McMicheal- same as Zach (except not a lock)
Chambers- Unlikley but possible

Zach Thomas, Kevin Carter are pro bowl talents. Schulters could be.
Ricky Williams is a pro bowl talent. Chris Chambers and Randy McMichael could be. Booker is a 2 time pro bowler
Too early to tell with Ronnie Brown.
The O-line is young and it wouldn't surprise me to see Carey or Hadnot in the pro bowl 1-2 yrs from now.

YES, we are talking CURRENTLY pro bowl players. Some of those guys hadn't been pro bowlers in years. Plus someone like Welker will never make a pro bowl (not a knock on him just the truth). But guys like Boston and Seau are SHOT as players and are on the end of their careers. Schulters isn't a pro bowler. Frerrorte....please.

Currently, aside from JT (maybe Ricky if he returns to himself) we have no pro bowlers
