has anyone heard if he still plays fore us and hows is his shoulder doing ,i have a gut felling he well be the next all-star fore the dolphin's. i think he well start by mid-season and well be a force .in the middle:evil:

Yes, he still plays for us. I believe there haven't been any news about his injured shoulder, which would mean is all right now or at least getting better.

I did read somewhere that he's below 300 lbs now, and will be pushing Matt Roth for the starting job at DE.

i heard he has looked real goo and jason taylor claims both him and evans will be great players

Yea he's playing. He's backing up Holliday at DT/3-4 DE. So this basically:

DE/OLB: Taylor/Gbaja-Biamilla
DE/DT: Holliday/Wright
NT: Traylor/Soliai/Evans
DE: Roth/Page or Vickerson

I like this a lot. I really want Vickerson to beat Page, but its going to be hard with his being away at Europe.

Rod Wright is getting rave reviews by fellow teammates, as well as Fred Evans.

I remember hearing that most of the Miami scouting department was shredded after Nick Saban left.. Is this true? Because they have done an excellent job in acquiring talent in the 2006 and 2005 draft classes.

Your not going to hear much about him until training camp starts.

they are actually trying Evans at DE behind Roth since the depth there is a little light...

Wright, sidelined last year by a rotator cuff injury that dropped him to the seventh round, weighed 316 as a senior at Texas but is now 294: ``It's a world of difference. I'm quicker off the ball and my strength is better. I have the total package.''
This is what others are saying about Wright and fellow second year d-lineman Fred Evans
GM Randy Mueller said Evans ''proved last year he's an NFL player, and hopefully Rodrique will, too.'' Zach Thomas raves about their work ethic; Keith Traylor loves Wright's pass-rushing skills; and Jason Taylor said: ``I don't think they can be good. Fred and Rod can be great.''

Rod Wright is @#$%^&*()_+ solo wrecking crew. Anyone who doesn't know this isn't paying attention.

Rod will probably beat out Roth or they will share time. There will also probably be a lot of sets where Traylor sits and Roth,Wright, and Evans along with Vonnie just crush any third down attempts by the opposition.

The Dolphin defense is just plain scary even if there are injuries. The defense healthy is impregnable, damaged, it is still mighty.

man after reading this post i cant wait for the season to start and get to see roth and wright play. i really hope he can do a lot of big things for us because i remember watching him dominate at texas.
