If Houston falls out of it, expect them to trade him to NY or Boston come late July.

I doubt that, the Astros are going to make a ton of money by selling out on days he pitches and with Clemens merchandise. I'm sure Clemens has a no trade clause in his contract (does anyone know for sure?).

If not the Astros would probably have to get Clemens ok to trade him out of respect for the guy and he'll probably tell them where he'd want to go. If Clemens were to be traded I don't think he'd go to the Yankees because Cashman told Clemens he couldn't leave the team on road trips he wasn't pitching in and that's one of the big reasons Clemens stayed with Houston.

Plus I think Clemens worked out a deal with the Astros to have them call up his son in September to play a game with his father in the MLB.

What brings you to that conclusion? Did you hear something or is it speculation?

Rumor floating around FOX SPORTS Radio, a couple NY newspapers, and some other outlets.

If Houston is out of it, they aren't gonna pay him that kind of money.

thats pretty cool if it happens...I'd like to see that game.

Nope, won't happen. He wants to play in Houston with his son...and be near home.

It's pretty clear that Clemens cares much more about money than winning. That's why he signed with Houston, and not with the Red Sox or Yanks. He's got a cushy deal with Houston, and I'd be shocked if his contract didn't include no-trade protection.

Yeah but he can approve any trade and dictate where he wants to go. IF he wants to go.

If Clemens wanted to go to NY or Boston he would have signed with them in the first place. As much as I'd love to see him back in a Sox uniform, it's just not happening. Clemens isn't going anywhere.
