If there is a football god watching over the Dolphins, he will allow Rogers Cromartie to somehow slip to us at #32. I haven't seen a more impressive post season in years.

First, he showed himself to be unafraid on a big stage in the Senior Bowl. Not only did he make plays against top competition, he was also very consistent in the practice sessions. I don't remember seeing this guy out of position or badly beaten on any route.

Now we move to the Combine and Cromartie comes up even bigger. Blazing 40 time, excellent footwork in the drills. Guy measures in at 6'1, 185.

What I like the most about Cromartie is that he hasn't been awed by the jump in competition or by the big stage. Those are the kind of players that will consistently come up with a key play in a big game.

I am no draft guru but from what i saw from the kid in the combine, I guess to say there is a 99% chance he won't be there at #32. He ran a sub 4.3 40 time and I believe that was one of his knocks. He could follow in his cousins footsteps quite well.

Rumors are Crom is challenging McKlevin for the TOP SPOT but they believe McKlevin will head to NE but Crom said impressed almost every scout and personnel there is which guarantees hes a 1st rounder if not the TOP CB

I don't think that there's any way that DRC slips to 32 at this point.

BUT, this a CB talent-laden draft. There is no way that 5 corners go in the first 31 picks, so we are guaranteed to have either Mike Jenkins, Talib, or Cason to be there. I prefer DRC and Jenkins over everyone else, but I wouldn't be disappointed with McKelvin or Cason at all.

I used to be really high on Talib, but I'm not so sure anymore for some reason.

as far as corners go....who does everyone think we'll pick up? i'm not really familiar with all the corners in this draft, but i do know we need one or 2.

I think Rodgers-Cromartie could move all the way up near the top of the 1st round and possibly be drafted by the Patriots with the 7th pick...he and McKelvin look like the top d-backs.

i would love to snag talib from kansas at 32 but if not him maybe cason from zona

In terms of cornerbacks, my vote goes to Justin King from Penn State with the 2B pick. Not too long ago this guy was being mentioned in the same breath as DeAngelo Hall and Deion Sanders. DRC would be awesome, but a CB hasn't gotten this much hype in such a long time that it makes me worried he will flop. Something just doesn't seem right about DRC. But have a nickname this early is definately a start.

Before the season i recall talks of Justin King being at the top of the draft as well.

I've been high on DRC for a long time, his draft stock rise does not surprise me one bit. I only wish others didn't see what I saw in him.

I'll bet none of the top 5 corners (McKelvin, DRC, Cason, Jenkins, Talib) are there at 32.

I doubt five corners are taken in the first round. Not that they're not great prospects, it just seems unusual for so many players of a single position to go in the first 31 picks. Of course if they do then someone else of a different position could fall to us.
