Here is my 3 round mock. I base it on where I think we will be picking and our needs/along with BPA:

Round 1 - 20th overall pick: BJ Raji, NT, Boston College.

Round 2 - 52nd overall pick: Conner Barwin, DE, Cincinatti

Round 2 - 53rd overall pick: Ramses Barden, WR, Cal Poly

Round 3 - 84th overall pick: Victor Harris, S, Va Tech

Love the B.J. Raji pick. I don't think Macho lasts till the 3rd round though at this point.

He's a solid, physical corner and I'd take him with either of our 2nd round picks.

I can see Ramses Barden available in the 3rd.

And my personal preference of 2nd round DE/OLB is Larry English, but Barwin is a good prospect too.

Thanks...yeah I think Harris might end up going in the late 2nd and Barden possibly in the 3rd, so I might have to switch them....I just would like to see these guys in Phin's uniforms. I am sure the combines will probably decide whether some of these guys move up or down. Can't wait for the draft. :)

I just realized Ramses Bardens first name reminds me of Nacho Libre the dudes name in there is Ramses lolll.

anyways besides that I like Raji and Harris wont last that long.

Yea, at this point, it's too hard to tell. Combine changes a lot. I liked the majority of your picks, just I like English more than Barwin in that situation.

Barden and Harris are two players I'd really like. But wouldn't mind Demetrius Byrd either at receiver.

Would be a pretty good draft.

I like B.J. Raji but I get this feeling that because he is only 6'1" The Trifeta will bypass him because he doesn't fit their criteria of a defensive lineman. By the way, no surprise that Raji was selected to the ACC first team defense after leading BC with 11 tackles for loss and seven sacks.

The only thing that might hurt Barwin is his lack of experience playing defense. Connor is very athletic and seems to be a natural. He is one of the nations leaders with 10 sacks and 12.5 tackles for losses this year.

Todd McShay says Ramses Barden is the best small school WR prospect in the senior class. You should read what else McShay had to say about Ramses and not all of it is good.

Victor "Macho" Harris seems like a more physical Sam Madison-type of CB. Neither times very well in the 40 but rarely gets beat by speedier receivers because of their instincts and knack for being around the ball. Like others, I doubt if he'll be around late in the 3rd round.

6'1-6'2 is the prototypical size for a NT.

Wilfork is 6'1

Casey Hampton is 6'1

Jamal Williams is 6'2

I never said Raji didn't have the prototypical size for a NT. I said I wondered if the Trifecta would bypass him if he doesn't fit THEIR criteria for a defensive lineman.

I love the Barden pick. I really hope that the second or third round is not too early for the Tuna. He could be our Brandon Marshall (except hopefully less of a douche).

you said because of his HEIGHT he may not fit their criteria

i can't say with 100% accuracy... but my guess is they want a prototypical nose with a low center of gravity...

:rolleyes2:

im not sold on raji and would prefer a pass rusher in the first round...

You are correct that I did say because Raji is only 6'1" that he might not fit the Trifecta criteria for a defensive lineman. I say this because in all of the drafts Bill Parcells has been involved in, every defensive lineman that was drafted has been atleast 6'3" in height. Raji's running mate however, Ron Brace, might get a look because he seems to be closer to what Parcells likes in a defensive lineman at 6'3" 326.

I personally like Raji because he is not a one dimensional player. To go along with his 11 tackles for lost, B.J. also has seven sacks. With those kind of stats, it seems that Raji is a penetrating type of player but the question I have is how well does he hold up at the point in the running game. As far as B.J. going in the first round, that has yet to be determined.

thats why i like Raji, he BREAKS the pocket and gets into the backfield often even with 2 men on him and to hold him ive seen 3 men on him at times.

fergie has that issue of NOT being able to get into the backfield making him a 1 dimensional player (although he changed that vs the bills last week). if you look at the dominate run stoppng defense they have a NT that can PENETRATE or at teh least slightly push the linemen back allow for the LB and DE to get in for a sack or pressure bc of a crack that was created by the NT.

Look what happened when fergie played liek that last week, the Run D was great and you saw more players in the backfield then ever before all year long.

i'd agree that 1st pick should be D and i'm hoping for USC's lb brian cushing or safety taylor mays.

Macho will be a corner in the pros, he may not come in with a great forty time, but he has game speed and his instincts are top-notch, no way in hell he lasts that long.

Actually I dont think that Brace would meet the Trifecta's wishes for a particular player. He is often injured which can get a player removed from their list very quickly. Granted he has never had a major injury but he has often missed practices and taken himself out of periods in games complaining of bumps and bruises. If Raji is there I think he has to be the pick without question otherwise it is LB's.
