Here is who I think we will take on draft day. Not taking into consideration any trade downs. I am mainly going by our biggest needs as I see them. I also put in some links for additional info/you tube stuff for later round guys:

1. CHRIS LONG, DE/OLB, Virginia

2. CARL NICKS, OT, Nebraska 2nd Option: TRACY PORTER, CB, Indiana

2. DUSTIN KELLER, TE, Purdue 2nd Option: CHAD HENNE, QB, Michigan

3. CB, CHARLES GODFREY, Iowa 2nd Option: TERRANCE WHEATLEY, Colorado

4. OT, JOHN GRECO, Toledo

6. WR, JEROME SIMPSON, Coastal Carolina

7. LB, KROY BIERMANN, Montana

Nice mock. I like Bierman, but I'd rather go with Baker or Collins at OT rather than Nicks. Nicks at pick 2B would be fine. I'd still like to see us take TE John Carlson.

I agree about Carlson. I see us picking him as more likely than Keller, because Keller is not a good enough blocker for Parcells, so he would never be our pick.

Not bad.
I would like it better if it said J. Long 1st.
=)
And we might just be able to get a guy like Carl Nicks at 2(B) instead.

We should be getting 2 compensatory picks at the end of the 6th and 7th rds., so you might want to add them. I know I'm in the minority, but I think we'll go with Jake Long in the 1st. If we take JT in the 1st., I look for us to take a DE/OLB with the 2a pick. Maybe Quentin Groves or Chris Ellis will be taken with that selection. Dustin Keller is a good selection, but I would rather have Martellus Bennett since at Texas A&M they employed more of a run oriented attack. He's a better blocker and will be able to adapt to our style of offense better. I would swap your 3rd and 4th rd. selections. John Greco is moving up the draft boards and think that we would have a better chance at acquiring him at number three. With the 4th rd selection, I would take Antwaun Molden CB EKU, he has the tools to be a very good pro. Jerome Simpson is a good choice, but I don't know if he'll be there that late. If he is not there, Steve Johnson out of Kentucky is another excellent WR that should be there in the later rds. Kroy Biermann is a guy that i like very much. The only negative I see in him, well two actually, is that he's too small to play end and not fast enough for the OLB spot. He only weighs 245 - 250 so he is going to be standing up at the Pro level. His 40 times(4.73-4.86) for a DE are OK, but not for an OLB that has to cover a TE, RB or even a WR that is running shallow. Maybe he is one of those guys that has the quick burst that may allow him to break on the ball, but I haven't seen enough film to know. But with all that being said, I think he would be an excellent selection in the 7th.

You lost me at Carl Nicks! He can be had on the second day of the draft and seems to be a huge headache waiting to happen.

He was cited for 'failure to dispurse' and arrested at a party a couple days before his scheduled pro day in Lincoln (which his coach ended up banning him from). Sounds like a BS charge, but when the cops tell you to leave a party, why argue?! Walk around the friggin block and wait for the cops to leave!

Disciplinary issues seem to be a trend. He was benched for the first quarter of a game earlier this season for 'disciplinary reasons'. Nebraska's coach couldn't have made a bigger statement by banning him from the workout. Basically he's telling every NFL scout that this guy has been and still is TROUBLE.

Beyond the character issues, he only started one year for the Cornhuskers. Not exactly a body of work I'd bank on with the 32nd pick overall.

I agree. I live in Lincoln and watched every Huskers game last season. Nicks isn't worth the pick. He's getting by purely on his potential. In reality he doesn't move well, doesn't get good leverage, and may have weight issues.

I like your draft though, Roman. Biermann and Keller would be great additions. Wouldn't mind seeing a DT somewhere on there. Maybe Okam or a VERY underrated player in Frank Morton.

If we got Greco in the 4th round Id be estatic...You watch, the Dolphins will select him at some point and if they do they, he will be a starter at guard or rt by midseason...

Any mock that has the Fins picking a QB in the first three rounds I dont like

I think its standard BP and JI philosophy that you draft a QB every year...and with no definitive starter on this team, I think it is highly probable that a QB will be picked at pick 2a or 2b...

I think you are confused, Randy Mueller, our former GM drafts a QB every year. I don't know of evidence that Ireland does this.

nice mock. I like the positions you addressed but might have had different players taking some of those positions. Overall great job though. Agree with you on Godfrey. I have us taking him too even though I prefer Tracy Porter. Godfrey is 20 pounds heavier and plays the run pretty well something Parcells demands
