Romeo Cromell

No, we need an offensive minded coach with a little creativity in his play calling, Forester sucks.

Screw Weis and Cronell. Last thing we need is an unproven head coach who was an assistant on a Super Bowl team, i.e. Wannstedt. No, we need a proven leader who will change this organization from top to bottom, someone who will take control. I still like Saban of LSU as our next coach.

Ok, I like Saban as well as the next guy, but you contradict yourself...

You say you do not want an 'unproven head coach that was an assistant on a SB team'. Then say you want Saban. In case you have not been watching the NFL lately the best (most successful) college coaches have been coming to the NFL and trying and failing. There is not a proven SB winning coach out there. Unless you pull a Redskins and get Jimmy Johnson or Don Shula out of retirement.

Wayne needs to throw some $$ at the problem BIG TIME. We'll have a nice draft pick, trade bait with Ricky and the rebuilding process will begin. I think we need a proven NFL O. coord ready to move up to head coach and keep our def coaching as is, or a JJ/belichek/parcells/vermeil super bowl winner.

I could see how you could interpret it that way. To be more clear, we need someone who has taken an entire entity, i.e. LSU, and has quckly turned it into a championship team. Saban has shown that type of leadership, Weis and Cromell haven't. Bill and Pioli run that show, they are along for the ride. Yes, college coaches have had problems, but there have been very good ones come over to the NFL, I believe Saban would be one of them.

I'd like to see an offensive-minded coach. Charlie Weis would be my choice if it's between him and Romeo, Belicheck's defensive background takes some credit awahy from Crennel. Jim Fassel is my choice as the next headcoach.

You guys do know that Nick Saban's NFL experience came from four years as Belichick's defensive coordinator in Cleveland, right? Same job that Romeo Crennel has had in New England for the last five years.

They are close friends. Belichick flew down to Baton Rouge after the Super Bowl and spent two or three days in the film room with Nick Saban, picking his brain and watching Sabin's game film on every senior in the SEC last year as potential Pat draft candidates. Belichick almost always grabs a draft pick or UDFA out of LSU on the basis of Sabin's recommendation.

I tell you what lets pray for a bad year in KC, I would love to see Vermiel get fired. He turned around two franchises that were lets be honest, JOKES prior to his arrival. With his offensive mind we could.....I cant believe I am going to say this keep Wanny.......as the DC, a job that he is more suited for!! Look what he did with Tory Holt and Isaac Bruce, what do you think he could do with CC, Boston, Booker, and McMichael.........

I like Saban as well, though getting him out of LSU would be very expensive.

Saban is not coming out of LSU. He signed a new deal, and he had the option of going to Chicago and he didn't.

Crenell is the guy. He is someone who understands that you have to coach the guys you have, and coach them to bring the most out of them.

BTW, the Pats signed an undrafted free agent out of Saban's LSU program this year, Randall Gay. He surprised most Pats fans when he beat out Terrell Buckley as the Pat's fifth cornerback in the final cut-downs.

He's been on the active roster for both games this year, playing special teams and seeing quite a bit of action in the nickle and dime defenses when Ty Law missed half of the season opener.

This lovefest with the New England Patsie coaching staff makes me sick.
:monkeyr:

Thats just ridiculous. You obviously haven't noticed the 17 games in a row the Patriots have won. Or the two out of three superbowls. That is amazing with the personell and injuries they've had. Nick Saban is a joke and he isn't going anywhere. You have no clue.
