This guy is too much. Some of my favorite quotes.....

"It depends on what happens or what offers are made," he said. "I'm not saying I'm not going to look at the offers. But I'm not really chasing the money like that."

It was classic Artest when moments later, he said he's underpaid at $7.8 million next season with a player's option for $8.45 million in 2008-09.

"If some crazy scenario happened where I was with the Knicks, I would want David Lee there," Artest said. "I love David Lee. I played with him in the 'hood last summer, and he showed so much heart. They were trying to rough up David Lee, but David Lee got rough right back. And this was the projects, you know? And I respected that.

"Some people, they're good guys and want to be bad boys," Artest said. "I've already got that hard core in me, but I'm trying to be a good guy. And I think I deserve to try to change the views of people about me."
 
For a player or his level he is underpaid at 7.8 and 8.5 million. Then again factor is he off the court issues and some could argue he is overpaid.
 
Artest has always been one of the most underpaid players in the league. If he would just clean up his image he'd get his contract. Kobe managed to do it in a year.....if Artest has any brains he'll follow the same path this season.
 
Maybe we should take up a collection for him and Latrell Spreewell, who have problems feeding their babies and baby mama's on $15 million a year. These guys need to get a clue. This is why more and more people are losing interest in the NBA. Bunch of overpaid whiney clowns.
 
He is under paid when it comes to his play on the court however when you factor in his behavior its very easy to see why
 
If it was all, or even significantly about behavior Grant Hill would never have been on any overpaid lists. Its about on court production when they get their contracts. Behvaior only seems to factor in the NFL. And by those standards ron artest is underpaid.

Yeah I agree. I was one who thought it would be nice to have him in Miami, But I have changed my mind on that pretty quickly. He is much more of a headache than he is worth
 
no one in the nba is underpaid... the are playing their favorite sport which is a game..
