ron dayne?

I don't really think he would fit in with our line or scheme. But that's just my opinion, I'm no Saban.

Wouldnt want him personally, but Saban might. Allthough wouldnt have thought so.

If Dayne can't shine in Denver where the Ponies' oline can make pretty ordinary RBs into 1,000+ yard rushers, what makes you think he would be any better than what the Fins already have?

I don't think collecting first round busts is the way to build a playoff contender.

Dayne looked good last year up there in Bronco-land. He just wasn't used that often.

He isn't really a power fullback, he doesn't play that way. He's more a LARGE half back. I think he would be a good pick-up for the right price. (Read if he is nice and CHEAP)...

If he can block and is decent in the passing game, absolutely. We have two NFL-caliber runningbacks in a position that needs at least three. Travis Minor, Kay-Jay Harris, and Gerald Riggs are not NFL caliber. If you can't protect for a QB in this offense, you don't deserve 300-500k per year to sit on the roster and just be a bump on a log.
