According to score 670 radio station in Illinois. Better choice than Cam Cameron, IMO.

Norv Turner's less successful brother who is responsible for the fearsome Bears O?

I'll pass, and I'm now fearful of who Wayne is going to choose. It's not like he has the best track record.

He's the offensive coordinator for the Bears, right?

Correct, also the former coach of the University of Illinois. He did well his first couple of years and took them to the Rose bowl, but he was an awful recruiter so he fizzed out of that job. Very good offensive mind though. Look what he did with the Bears offense without much talent, compared to the Chargers with Pro Bowlers everywhere on offense.

Mark My words....

Wayne is going to go CHEAP this time...and say he got the best guy he could.
WHY even look at Capers...40-80 or Mularkey???
He said there was NOT going to be any Hold-outs and look how the 1st year of Jason Allen was ruined...

We are NOW just another NFL Team.....we are loosing our ZEAL.....

Not sure what to think Ron Turner....

Some of you guys are harsh on some of thes OC's or DC's....Not all good coachaes have to be a top DC or top OC.

Look at Martz....he's an EXCELLENT OC, but when it comes to coaching he stinks it up.

Bill Belicheck stunk it up in Cleveland, yet he worked wonders in New England....

if Turner takes the job, you never know. There are coaches who are considered unqualified getting jobs, and doing alright.

Though I don't know if I want Turner. The Bears fans seem to like him, but have said that the QB inconsistency has hurt the O.

Wasn't Ron Turner a head coach at Illinois? or some big 10 school? And If I remember he was terrible.

he was the coach of the Illini, lead them to the Rose Bowl, and beat both Michigan AND Ohio State. Problem is he wasn't a good recruiter. A lot of coordinators that become college head coaches live off of name recognition and experience. (which is why I think you've got to wait 2 years to call Charlie Weiss a great coach. His recruiting classs look good on paper, but his teams have not used HIS players).

I am not saying Turner is qualified. But as the Schotty jr. reporter has in his sig, Cam Cameron did not have a good record as the coach at Indiana, and everybody wants him.

My whole theory is that if you've been part of a successful organization/unit, you deserve atleast an interview.
