Ronnie 2006 NFL MVP

Got to love the optimism. He's a second year rookie, but I believe that if he wasn't splitting carries he might have been offensive rookie of the year instead of Caddy. He's definitely got starting RB skill.

i LOVE ronnie and what he brings to the team, but the thread title is bothersome. ronnie brown will be great but he will not be the league MVP, much less the best offensive player in the league. not even the best back. there is LJ, Tiki, Sean, LT, and Portis.

we have ourselves an amazing and talented back that will produce for us. but dont overhype.

Yea im sure Brown would have won Off. Rookie of the year no doubt if not for Ricky.

How do u know he wont be MVP? IT is definately a good possibility. We have one of the elite teams now in the NFL. What Culpepper brings to this team is beyond what some of you think. Our offense will be like that of the Colts. Ronnie will have a lot of touchdowns in our system. And TD's is what give you points in this league.

I would be mor than happy if he hits 1300yds and 10TDs, but MVP .... lets not get carried away.

i guess i deserve it since a clicked the title

Why you would post that, I do not know.

Back to the subject, Ronnie had Offensive Rookie in the bag if he did not split carries with Ricky, it's not subject to anything. He definitely would have won it no doubt.

He won't be the league MVP however, Larry Johnson had 1800 something yards and played only a little bit over half the games as a starter. I don't think he'll break the rushing title but he will definitely be a better back than Ronnie.

Rushing titles don't come from stellar individual performances, it they did then LT would have won the rushing title the last few years. It comes from a great offense performing well, no matter what happens with the Cheifs this year LJ will get 1500 yards because they have a great running and blocking system installed. Now, if our blocking improves out of sight then I see Ronnie with a much better chance of racking up 1500 yards on the ground this year.

assuming he stayed healthy,

if you took rickys carries, and multiplied it by ronnies ypc

ronnies avg was 4.4 x rickys attempts 163 = 1646 yds.

now i doubt with 163 more carries that he would keep a 4.4 avg. but

caddy williams had 1178 yds, with a 4.4 avg. i could easily seeing ronnie take the rookie of the year award hands down if he took more carries.

the kid is a FREAK
