I understand why Ronnie Brown didn't want to sign a contract until Alex Smith did, but what is the delay now. Many of the first round players are signing. Is there a hold up with Ronnie?:confused:
 
No kidding. That's why the NFL has to come up with a basic salary for rooks. Depending on the position you play, you get "X" amount of dollars and that's that. Then the second year your pay is based on your performance from your first year. Then the third year you get your due. The NFL would also have to come up with a injury package. That way if you get hurt your taken care of. This way the rooks have to show their stuff in the NFL first. Then get paid.

I think the fact both he and his agent are not talking to the press like some player/agents do is that negotiations with the Dolphins are moving along. I know we are all getting impatient but it seems like it will work itself out real soon.

"him" and his agent are probably sleuthing to find out what cadillac got. i think his agent is not protecting his best interests. ronnie should NOT trust meester french with his feelings. he is misleading heeem.

I'm sure it'll get settled this week....then we'll all be raving about Ronnie in TC...

He'll be locked up for several years....
